what is GM supplier?

Credit Union Discount from GM Price $92,750.80
Consumer Cash -$0.00
You Pay $92,750.80
Base MSRP $86,650.00
MSRP as Configured $102,155.00
GM Employee Discount Price $89,088.57
Consumer Cash -$0.00
You Pay $89,088.57
same car on each discount:

You Pay $89,088.57
Your numbers make no sense at all. First of all very few people buying these cars qualify for GM Employee Discounts, so most here on the forum can't even get GM Employee pricing. Yes, on a more expensive MSRP the GM Supplier Pricing or CU pricing, GM Employee will show a slightly higher percentage discount.
I would say that the average C7 owner is spending betwen $55,000 to $75,000 MSRP pricing, which according to yourself a $55,000 MSRP -15% would be priced at: $46,750...and $70,000 MSRP -15% would be priced at $59,500. A $75,000 MSRP -15% would be priced at $ 63,750. I seriously doubt that anybody here on the forum would state "honestly" that they got these prices if the C7 they bought fell within these MSRP price points.
I think your talking out of your butt, not your mouth. I also bet there is no one here on the forum that would agree they got 15% off MSRP for a 2015 model whether its a "base" or "Z51" model.
In your first calculation a MSRP for $102,155.00 and priced at $92,750.00 is a 9.20% discount, a far cry from 15% that you make people here on the forum believe they can get.
In your second calc.....a MSRP for $102,155.00 and priced at $89,088.57 via a GM Employee discount (which as stated very few people get) is a 12.79% discount still below your statement of why get a 10% discount when you can get 15% and save 5% of your money.
Perhaps you need some education in calculating percentages.
Now if you're a former GM Employee, which in your calc above for your build implies, how could you even inferr that the average purchaser here can get that discount. You're rubbing dirt in peoples faces.
Life today is about being transparent, not passing on BS to people. Even in your calculation of your own build, the discount is only 13.07%. Come on David, don't BS us, show us some real credibility. Now you change your post and tell us that you get 20% off.........show us the details when you get your final Buy Sheet from the dealer. Now your really speaking out of your a$$.

There are many deals out there on these C7's. Any dealer that wants to sell at MSRP or slightly below, does not understand the market. I am referring to "base" or "Z51" models not the Z06.
Discounts of 10%+ off MSRP, are readily available from many dealers. I just bought a new 2015 with discount in this range. There are lots of C7's sitting on dealers lots. It cost dealers money to let these cars sit. Many new C7 owners are ordering cars to be be built. But there are great opportunities if your tired of the allocation, constraints, and time to wait crap.
Due your "due diligence" in your search. Know what you want, and what your budget or amount that you want to spend. Contact a Chevrolet dealer that is willing to spend a little time to find what you may want from the GM computer system that they have available. Dealers have access to every Corvette C7 out there sitting on dealers lots. Many salesman may be too lazy to spend time searching for you as most just want to make a quick sale.
That's what I did. Closed the sale in 4 days, waiting for delivery, found the car with 98% of the options I wanted as if I had ordered it, no allocations needed, no constraints, and no waiting crap. Pricing beat the big players in the marketplace. Found my Torch Red, with ZF1 Appearence pkg, body color matching roof and other extras that I wanted.
Why play the order game with these dealers. Most dealers will tell you anything to get the sale and order, make a deposit, then you're on the hook with them.
Determine what you want, determine your budget, build your car on-line and get the GM Supplier pricing upfront before contacting any dealer. You will have your concrete information ready, and you will have bargaining power. Keep an open mind and be careful of the BS that a salesman might make to you.
My car came from a Midwest dealer who was willing to spend time to please a customer, make a sale, and offer the car at super competitve pricing. The deals are out there, go for it.

Just go to Corvette Forum Dealer Inventory.....do some research.
Your complaining to me, when you're the guy who started the assumption that you can get 15% off MSRP then you state you can get 20% of MSRP.
Get real David.
Who cares about what who give people "friends and family" discounts too.
It's about what the average guy on the street can get, and the members here on the forum can get. It's not wise to give out false and misleading information to Corvette Forum members here which you choose to do. I have crunched numbers for 31 years in my profession, and the numbers don't lie. Now your pissed because I reveal the correct percentages?
As I said, get real! Don't BS people. I not interested in getting into peaing match with you over numbers.

Platinum Supporting Dealership
FYI - Friends and Family = GM Supplier = Credit Union Discount = Military Discount = GSU...they are all the same price.
And, most of the time, our discount is lower or real close to those programs PLUS you can combine your GM Card points with our price but not with the GM Pricing.

On the other thread you posted on 4-29-2014...
"this is supplier discount nothing more".
There is no difference than joining a CU and getting the same discount, which I did plus more off. My final number was actually 10.93% below MSRP....and that beats just about everyone except some of the big players out there.
Anyone can join a Credit Union now a days at no cost and there is no financing requirement. So while you might think that as a retiree you are doing people big favors, they can beat that deal. However it is a nice gesture on your part.
For potential buyers who do their "due diligence" and "shop around", which takes some time, they can certainly save allot of coin on these C7's. And as we get closer to the introduction of the 2016 models, prices will have to come down even more. Dealers are loaded with these cars on their lots. Those dealers who are trying to sell these C7's at MSRP or with small discounts of 2 to 3%, are really ripping buyers off, but there are lots of people that just might pay that.
Happy motoring....and kept in mind, it's all about "The art of the deal".
