Jake, your original diagram shows only eight fasteners needed? What is the difference in the original diagram and this one? Does it have something to do with the Z51 vs. the base model? Also, is it required that holes be drilled in the bumper cover as another poster stated above?

Same install on any C7.

Part number of scrivets ??
A bit more info:
The GM part is made in the USA by Precision Automotive Plastics (Winsor Mold USA, Inc) in Bellevue, Ohio
The part is manufactured in Ohio, then shipped to Burton, Michigan, then on to the respective distributors, then to the end retail consumer.
The GM part number is: 22922352
The item is molded plastic, not a composite material, thus the low price point.
The Front Splitter is labeled as a "Front Air Dam" from the manufacturer.
Inside the box, the splitter comes with 10 pop rivets and 2 screws, and a basic diagram for installation. There is no text included with the instructions. It takes 12 fasteners to secure the part to the C7.
It is suggested to drill 3/16 inch holes and use the pop rivets to fasten the front air dam to the bumper assembly.
The front air dam has holes predrilled to secure the item into the bumper assembly, but holes are required to be drilled into the bumper to accept the pop rivets.
I think the best way to fasten or secure the front air dam is using the scrivets suggested and recommended by Corvette Forum member C7Jake.
The front air dam will serve the purpose well. Hopefully the GM side skirts or side rockers will become available to the general public as these splitters. If so, price points should be very attractive, especially if they are injected molded plastic as the front splitter. I suspect if the side skirts become available and are molded from the same plastic material and technology price points could be more than 1/2 of what aftermarket vendors are charging for these aftermarket items.
The splitter does not need paint, and I would think it will take a special type of paint that will bond to plastic. I see no need to go through any expense to paint the item. I suspect that automotive paint may have a difficult time sticking to the surface very well.
Hope this bit of information helps other forum members.

GM Parts Direct will take your order w/o Z06 Vin#. They are currently on back order, with no specific shipping date.
Price was $84.97 plus $34.95 shipping.
Hoping nothing changes with them on requiring a Z06 Vin# like what happened at GM Wholesale Direct. They took my order, but the next day they requested my Z06 Vin#. When I couldn't provide, they apologized but said that GM requires this at this time, due to limited availability. So my order was reluctantly cancelled.

Also noticed that the list price has gone up from $133.45 to $140.45! zowee!

I got one in a week, but to expedite shipping the dealer must tie a Z06 VIN# to the order..No doubt in my mind that GM will fill an order for a Z06 owner before they ship against an order without a VIN attached.

Thank you. I just placed my order. My dealer's parts department stated that they had never seen such a fastener.
Look forward to receiving and installing the splitter...and look forward to a part number to order the GM side splitters to compliment.
Thank you once again; very helpful.

I paid 119 including shipping from GMPartsGiant. It was delivered within 2 weeks but came 64 bucks postage due. I sent them the copy of the cancelled check and they instantly refunded the 64 additional for postage.
I typically use Cultrag for all my GM parts but at the time, I don't think Gene had these at the time I ordered. I have had a bad expereince with GMPartsDirect and their shipping/handling charges so I'll go to a non forum vendor if Gene does not have the part.
Jake,
Car looks great but IMO, you need to cover up that chrome smile on your grille I used some carbon flash tape. (P.S. I got your PM and tried to respond but you have PM's blocked. We're good buddy)

In that regard:
1. Does someone make a reasonable carbon flash spray can?
2. How difficult is it to remove the stock grill and replace with the Z06 grill?
Thank you once again

2.) Not difficult. The hardest part is getting the bumper to seperate from the headlight.

I understand and respect your point regarding the paint.
Someone mentioned a wrap.
Know where that is obtained? That would be a bit easier to maintain...not much easier...but somewhat.
