Agreed. But that is also why I stated "Both cars built with similar options" as I'm not interested in base optioned cars. So, given that there is only a 14-15K difference between the cars I'd buy stingray vs. Z06. To me that is a no brainer, and why I'll get the Z06.

My car had a sticker of around $75k, which is quite a bit over the base. Thats what i meant by this:

There really isn't that much price difference between a loaded 3LT Z51 Stingray and a "base" Z06.

Honestly don't see how anyone expects Chevy to somehow squeeze another mid level model in between those two?
While i loved the C6 Grand Sport, honestly don't see the point in a C7 GS.

It makes more sense for a range topping 800 hp super car at the high end, the way things are going, as has been speculated about in other threads.
