Are you on a first name basis with them yet? I check on Fridays, hoping to hear that it has been bumped up to the following Monday.
But in reality the longer it takes the more money I can put away for the down payment. Got a nice chunk now but if it doesn't show up until early March I can get another $4000 in the kitty.
This will be the first car in years that I have put any money down on. In the past I could borrow money cheaper than what I was earning in investments. Not the case today, seems like they are about even and I don't see any great advancement in the return side over the next 4 years or so. So I am putting about 40% down and letting the bank tote the rest for 3 years.
But, DAMN, am I ready!

I think that's true when you're waiting to come off of 1100 but I think the other status levels it can change any day. I do know that it updates over night so checking twice in a day is pointless

I almost went with a Kalahari top on mine - thinking it would tie-in with the Brownstone interior better than black. My wife and Mike Furman convinced me to go with the black top to pick up the other black accents on the exterior and the CF mirrors and spoiler. I wish they had offered a Brownstone top. That would have been killer!

I have put 4-5k down on cars in the past but this will be the first big chunk. My current 2012 mustang is paid off and between that and the cash I will be putting down well over 50%

Certainly true about checking multiple times per day. I had been checking first thing each morning but my status remains unchanged at 3000. I am guessing that no changes will occur until closer to the build week. I've reverted to checking once per week now. It's just easy to get excited about progression through the status codes, especially when you get through several pretty quickly after finally moving from 1100

Just got off the chat with Chevrolet, still at 3000, order accepted by Production Control. TPW still the same 2/16/15. Guess I get it early March, just in time to park it do to the planned surgery. Weather ought to be really nice here in Texas for me after a 2 week recovery period. Ha Ha like I'll wait the 2 weeks to drive it!!!

Nice build - Love DSOM. Talk to your salesperson about pushing your TPW back. I'm guessing you can't change it now - but you might see if the dealer will let your order come in as a floorplan car if you order another for a later TPW.

Had a TPW of 2/9, but that got pushed by Chevy to 2/16. I just take it as a sign that instead of being built on Friday the 13th , it will now be the following week.

Okay Ill play, Im also 2/16 TPW. Its been a long 7 months but worth it. Could not make my mind up on order color and options. I sleep very well now knowing exactly what I want. Hope to have the car by the 11th of March or will have to pick up 27th of March when I get back into town. BTW my order is AW Z51 coupe, black interior, A8, Mag ride, Black wheels, Yellow calipers, Stinger hood stripe, Carbon flash spoiler and mirrors, Comp seats, Body color roof, Stingray sill plates. The suspense is really building! looks like this.

I'm in too. Laguna Blue Z51 3LT coupe, competition seats, black wheels, kalahari interior, carbon fiber dash, magnetic ride control, M7. I wanted the exposed carbon fiber roof but it was constrained and after lurking and drooling for 2 years I decided I'd waited long enough.

Got to check it once a week on Fridays. Gives Chevrolet Chat something to do. Helps them to justify their paychecks!
