Hi Mike, I received an email from MacMulkin on Friday evening informing me that my C7 was built and the vin #. Our cars will probably be on the same train to So. Calif. Chevy Customer Service still had my car at 3400 with the TPW 1/26/15. Now, I'm getting excited and really impatient.
Congrats Keith! Can't wait until it gets here!!!

Yes, they are ahead of schedule. I'm another 01/26 TPW customer who's car is done. My dealer called on Saturday, 01/24, to tell me my car was complete. Today, 01/27, I set up the delivery date with Shane from the Corvette Museum.

I checked in with Chevy today and said my TPW is this week and had no news and to check in at end of week for build status. It's at 3400, just waiting on build confirm and VIN....

A few more days of torture.. The wait up until this week seemed to go rather quick. Now to wait on a delivery date and VIN. If it takes 4 weeks, that would be perfect.

Amen to that brothers...I'm dying of anticipation here. Mine was built 1/13 and as of today (1/28) it has made it as far as Missouri. Yesterday it was in Illinois. At this rate it may get through the midwest by spring LOL!

Once your car is loaded on a rail car you can track it using the following:
1. Get the rail car number from your dealer - it looks like ETTX######. This may be in GM global connect under history, ask them to look for a value starting in ETTX to help them.
2. Call CSX at 1-800-235-2352
3. When prompted for location or weight, press 1 on your phone for location
3. When prompted for the car initials, either say 'ETTX' or press 32-81-81-92 and wait
4. When prompted for the 6-digit car number, say or key-in your 6 digit ETTX car number
5. When prompted for the next car, either say 'Done' or press the pound sign (#) twice
And there you have it! Follow the party train to the west coast!

I realize it may take some time to gather enough cars to send a truck to Texas, bit how how long should it take from when the VIN is available to when it should be ready to ship?

I really want my car, BUT do not want to take delivery with this crappy weather. So I am hoping it doesn't get put on a carrier too quick for it's trip to NJ. I'd almost consider flat bedding it home, but not sure if that is opening up other issues worrying about it being pulled onto flatbed.
