No contest in my opinion.
Agreed 100%. All the blackout and tape in the world isn't going to make the stock Stingray grille look as good as the Z06 one. They should offer it as a factory option, or just get rid of the Stingray one all together.

The standard grill aero plate DOES NOT work, without modifications. EBay is a good place to find the correct Z06 front grill aero license plate frame.

I'm looking for a professional shop to sand mine down and paint it... Can you provide more info on this please!?

Performance Corvettes....forum vendor takes the oem part, sands it and paints it for 249.00 plus shipping...Johnny is a really good guy....I destroyed my expensive and beautiful RPI front splitter...I didn't want to spend big bucks on something that was gonna take a beating and then I found Johnnys ad....not on the Forum but on amazon...I call them disposable splitters.....I just ordered my 3rd one......I only back into parking spaces now...I learn slowly...and yes it is CF metallic

I love the new look. The job wasn't hard, just a little tedious when you get to all the little plastic tabs that hold the grill to the bumper cover. I did take the opportunity to vacuum/blow out all the trapped bugs! A second send of hands was helpful so thank you to my buddy Turk/T6/TheDogfather...whatever he goes by on here

Just finished swapping my new Z06 grille on my AW C7 Z51 and it looks gorgeous. Now that it's on though, I'm wondering about the brake duct openings. Without the "screen" in front, seems like it would be easy for bigger items to now get sucked in. Is this something I need to worry about?

Ordered mine from Gene at Cultrag. You can't beat the look. So much better over stock. The blackout mod/ newer blacked out grill is NO comparison to the Z06 Grill.

Nothing to worry about. These are brake cooling ducts, not intake ducts...

I have a 2014 Non-Z51 A6 and am planning to order the Z06 Grille and Brake Duct Kit.

Is it easier to do the Grille Mod with the front wheels on the ground or perhaps with them raised?

For the Non-Z51s, do the Brake Ducts get mounted while the bumper is off or after it is reinstalled? Do the ducts bolt right up or is there some trimming involved?

Up on a ramp is good to get at all the bolts to remove the nose. With the nose off, you can put on the ducts very easily, especially up on the ramps.

I don't know about the trimming as I have the Z51 and it came with the ducts.

Did the swap this weekend on mine. Easy job. I took the opportunity to fix some scapes on the splitter and repaint it while it was off.

Did the swap this weekend but the tabs next to the headlights on my car would not let loose without a ton of leverage. One side ended up dropping (after I got it loose I had it propped up to stop it from falling onto the floor) and it caused too much tension and creased the other side against the hood (pinching and peeling the paint on the edge). I'm pretty pissed about it but I guess that's a lesson learned. The spot is about 1/4 of an inch long so will touch it up and carry on.

Issues with the two clamps can all be avoided with a trip down to the local AutoZone Parts dealer and buy a long 1/4" drive extension and just loosen the the bolts to remove and then re-tighten after assemble when it's all re-aligned again. I had no problem; no prying, hammering or pushing into place.

All the information in parts look-ups I can find shows the Z06 and the standard C7 aero panel as the same part number, but I don't want to doubt Gene's experience here. Can anyone re-confirm that the base C7 aero panel will fit onto the Z06 grille? Thanks!

The base aero plate will NOT fit the Z06 grille.
