Default Best C7 cell phone mount

Sorry for the sideways pics, idk why its sideways, I uploaded it with it on the correct side.

This is the mount I am using for my cell phone in my 2015 C7, in my opinion it is the best as it does not take up much space. There is a small metal piece inside the case to stick to the magnet.

Phone: iPhone 6
Case: LifeProof

Here is the link to the product:

I hope so CSW, it had good reviews as far as sticking and removing w/o any residue or other problems. It was $20 so I'll see once it arrives. Hopefully the thread starter can give more insight!

I like how you color coordinated the case with your interior, good show old chap. I like when interior accessories match the interior, I go so far as to get the Leather pine tree air freshener because it matches the black and Kalahari 2LT interior of mine.

I didn't want to stick the metal clip to the car so I bought the AC adaptor mount. I like it a lot. The only thing bad about it is the the adapter does not lock in place when opened. The weight of the phone pushes the flap down until the mount plug rests up against the console. If you brake hard it flips backs up. I wrapped the instructions paper in a small wedge to hold it in place for now until I can make a rubber wedge.

No wedge.

Wedged in placed.

I am looking at trying the Kenu mount that sticks into A/C vent.

Only $30 for a IPhone + one. I do not want anything in the 12v plug area to keep me from easily reaching the buttons over there like the fan speed dial. Not worried about charging it. Have a case with a larger battery in it already that I can use if necessary. Be a while before I put a phone charger cord in the car.

I prefer the ProClip with the expandable dock since I switch phones a lot.

It leaves no marks on your car and is easily removed.

Not cheap, but really good quality. I had the AirFrame and it did not work as it blocks the lighter port for power.

Many use their phones as GPS devices. Those of us not willing to pay for the GM NAV which is outdated before the car is even built.

And don't forget those of us that don't miss the CD player use our phones to stream music. Streaming music from your phone is kind of difficult if you have to play pocket pool to change your playlists.

Yup, I also stream music and the Nav voice will automatically mute the music and speak the directions through the audio system. I also have mine connected to the V1 detector and use YaV1

Mike,
Very cool the V1 connected to the infotainment system if I am understanding you correctly or to your IPhone? I just installed my V1 properly.
I don't miss CD"s at all. But streaming music via bluetooth does indeed eat the battery so I will have to keep that in mind but this car is not my DD.
I use the steering wheel tabs to change songs even with phone in or out of pocke but the 6+ is not too comfortable seated.

U8Du5t
I can also see the Kenu blocking the plug. I intend to use the navigation system as it looks like a marvel compared to my way out of date 10 year old system in my Lexus, so I am used to using my phone or iPad and just listening to its voice for directions if it proves to ornery.
Why they thing updates are worth $150 to folks I will never understand when Apple Maps and Google are free. Pretty hard sell to me.
