Fire Extinguisher in C7

What fire extinguisher? That's not an option from GM. If some company has one listed for $17K, that is obviously a mistake. Vetteworks sells a fire extinguisher mount for the C7 for $85. Add the actual fire extinguisher for another $85 or so.

Yeah,
I saw that on chevy page when I was curious about the Pacific/Atlantic options (was curious if the CFZ option was going to be on them) and tried to build a car. When I got to the last page I noticed the $17,000 fire extinguisher. Guess someone at chevy messed up that page.

Here's the "description":

Melting Slicks
Anyone have any experience with putting one in a C7 so that it doesn’t interfere with seat movement or foot room?
Have had extinguishers in my cars, usually in the door storage pocket but can’t find one as small in diameter as the ones I’ve had which are starting to be at the end of their shelf life.
Other issue is that many fire extinguishers have warnings about not being stored at temps above 120. Would suspect that interior temps can easily exceed that in a hot summer day in central TX with the windows only cracked open.
Comments? Don

C7 fire extinguisher bracket
Our C7 bracket is designed to give plenty of room for mounting options (and it looks way trick). So your seat movement is compromised little if any depending on how far forward or back you mount your extinguisher.

The 2.5lb extinguisher mounted here is all the way back, you can simply mount it all the way forward and gain 3 more inches of seat travel. Happy to answer any questions as we are just a small mom and pop shop.

I gave up on the floor mount, didn't like the restriction it put on the movement of the seat and don't like the looks. Can't find anything that fits in the door pockets.
Ended up just putting one behind the passenger seat, easy to reach, no interference. Don

Our bracket has almost no seat interference. Also once you set your seat position you set your extinguisher position. So it has no conflict.
In the door pocket is also not going to work, how big of an extinguisher can you get in the pocket? Maybe a pocket size. Also they need to be secure so they don't move about the car under acceleration or braking or in the event of an accident.

Little old thread however I'm trying to prepare for the Silver State Classic Challenge and require a fire extinguisher. I'd like a fire extinguisher that fits on the back wall between the two seats. Is there anything like that?
(Dang, looks like I won't be able to go to either the May one - starting a new job and moving... nor the Sept one - going to Tommy Emmanuels Guitar Camp in Havana Cuba! But still I'll never one of these eventually).
