Default 2015 Indy 500 Pace Car

Has anyone heard what the pace car will be for this year's Indy 500?

I haven't seen or heard anything but I "think" the announcement is usually made around the last week of March.

The "Festival Cars" were just delivered, driven by VIPs during May, and they are convertible Camaros. Almost a sure thing the pace car is the same car.

The Official Festival Car for the Indy 500 is the 2015 Camaro, which is arriving at dealerships.

I can find no information on what year Camaro will be the pace car.

To the best of my knowledge the Z28 for 2016 hasn't been released yet.

Here's a speculation Video on the 2016 Z28 Camaro =>

PRESS RELEASE

DETROIT – Chevrolet is inviting fans to see the all-new 2016 Camaro on Saturday, May 16, in Detroit. The sixth-generation Camaro will cap a day-long celebration on Belle Isle, the 982-acre island park that is home to the Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix May 29-31.

"This will be an event Camaro fans will not want to miss," said Todd Christensen, Camaro marketing manager. "This is only the sixth time we have introduced an all-new Camaro. We wanted to share the moment with the customers and fans who have helped make Camaro both America's favorite performance car for the past five years, and a cultural icon since 1967."

Chevrolet expects approximately 1,000 people to attend the Camaro reveal, which will also include:
• A "Camaro Museum" display of the most significant vehicles from the brand's history
• Hot-lap rides in the 2015 Camaro Z/28 around the Belle Isle Grand Prix course
• Meet-and-greet opportunities with Camaro designers and engineers.
• Camaro-only parking for owners

The event is free, however space is limited and registration is required. Attendance will be allocated with priority given to fans who agree to bring their Camaros to Belle Isle. For more information, or to register, please visit www.thecamarosix.com.

Founded in 1911 in Detroit, Chevrolet is now one of the world's largest car brands, doing business in more than 115 countries and selling around 4.8 million cars and trucks a year. Chevrolet provides customers with fuel-efficient vehicles that feature engaging performance, design that makes the heart beat, passive and active safety features and easy-to-use technology, all at a value. More information on Chevrolet models can be found at www.chevrolet.com.

Yes, the 2015 Z28, NOT the 2016.

The 2016 Camaro has already been shown at the New York Auto show.

You may be right, the new Camaro may pace the 2015 Indy 500, however the article you attached is from last year and refers to last years' race. Do you have an article that references this year's Indy 500?

Really? Do you have evidence? Because even Chevrolet thinks the 2016 Camaro won't be revealed for another five weeks on May 16.

See the article on chevrolet.com - http://www.chevrolet.com/2016-camaro/
