I can't believe the standard roof is still constrained.

I wonder if it isn't just to force people into ordering the higher profit roofs.

Just an FYI. I had ordered a Z06 on December 17th. I was under three constraints: standard roof, ground effects, and velocity yellow. I went to 2000 last Tuesday and 3000 a day later. Dealer indicated that sold order velocity yellow cars would probably get priority with the implementation of the velocity yellow constraint. He might have been correct, as my order was picked up right after velocity yellow became constrained.

Default Standard roof

I had to switch to the transparent roof just to get them to start building the car. I really wanted the standard roof but got tired of waiting. I ordered the car 12 weeks ago. I ordered a black C7 so I figured it will blend in. Still upset about the standard roof though and had to pay nore money on top of it. B.S.

I think it's just a marketing ploy to boost the bottom line for GM and the Dealers both get a markup on extra cost options. I bet the clear roof costs very little more than the painted one in all reality.

I'd bet the painted one costs more than the transparent to make.

Hmp. I left my order as-is with Z51 and CFA. I now have a TPW for 4/6/15
I guess it all depends on the dealer and what allocations they have. No complaints.

+++1 A whole lot more to make the
CFA.

Let's see... $995 to replace an exotic
part with Smokey and the Bandit.

No thanks
