Two good experiences - cargo mat and sealant
Just a quick report on what I think are two great products - Lloyd's Luxe Cargo Mat and Blackfire Crystal Seal.
Bought the Lloyd's Luxe cargo mat to hide the cheap carpeting in the cargo area of my C7 coupe....the mat is very heavy with a tight yet luxurious weave and it does a great job of sprucing up the cargo area and really reducing the road drone...not even sure if dynamat or equivalent will even be necessary. Lloyd's is a top notch company with a quality product...their reputation is well deserved. I went with a plain black mat, no emblem, and it was reasonably priced with free shipping from the supplier I chose.
I'm sort of a Nufinish kind of guy with my other cars, but thought I'd break into the 21st century and try something new. I tried Blackfire Crystal Sealant which I applied to a clean but never waxed car, and the results are great. As others have said, a little goes a long way, and most surprisingly, it seems to get better after a day or two of cure time.
The paint on my Blade Silver C7 is not the greatest, with plenty of orange peel and what appear to be waves in certain areas, like the borders of the hatch, but Blackfire definitely made the paint smooth and shiny. I am going to try a second coat this weekend, and call it good.
Very easy to apply....maybe 20-30 minutes total, and that included a quick wipe down before application with a slightly damp micro fiber towel and a few sips on a cup of coffee.

Congrats Crystal seal is amazing stuff, wipe on, walk away. You will find over the next week you'll find a smudge here and there, that just wipes off
keep a microfiber towel with you for the nect week.

I also have the Lloyds cargo mat and use Blackfire products.
I agree that the cargo mat addition helps with blocking out road noise too.
The Crystal Seal will even make the finish look better in a day or two! So easy to use and a little goes a long way.

George -
You live in Wurtsboro? Holy cow...My parents had a summer home just outside Bloomingburg when I was a kid, and I've been back many times just to relive the past. What a nice drive between Wurtsboro and Ellenville on 209...of course. once in Ellenville, then what? LOL!
Ever been to Sam's Point? So many childhood memories...
Went to college with the daughter of the people who owned the Nevele...that's gone too, right?
Raced karts in Cuddybackville also, but never saw any ufos in Pine Bush..
Have some good friends in Woodbourne....and not at the prison...LOL!

Thanks for the info on the Crystal Seal. May have to give it a try on my car. As for the Lloyds cargo mat, yes, that company makes some excellent products.

I have tried the Blackfire products, specifically Wet Diamond and Midnight Sun, on my black C7. They are great products and depth of shine is amazing, but I continue to go back to Mothers' Reflections. Reflections seems to have a "slicker" feel and a pretty good deep shine for $20 a bottle.

Do any of you have Xpel or similar wrap on car
How do these products work if you have Xpel or similar product wrapping parts of your car, say the bumper, fenders, and rocker panels? My concern is the edge where the Xpel wrap ends and the original body of the car begins. Will these polishes/cleaners leave a line along this edge?

Two Thumbs Up for Lloyd mats...I have both Ultimat and Lux floor and cargo mats.
Black Fire is excellent and I have an assortment for my Black Z06 including Black Ice.
Lots of Waterless Wash with a microfiber towel for light dusting.

3 years ago when I discovered it, it changed the way I detail. Lasts a couple months and then another 20 min coat . One small $20 bottle can do 20 cars.

I knew if I hung out with you guys on here long enough I would get some truly useful information- when I installed the Lloyd Luxe mat in the stern of my C7 AW Z51, I thought it would have been nice IF they had put slits so I could use the tie down D rings. Weave was so tight I never saw the slits- now I am sooo much happier with my purchase- thanks- now if the mats also cut down on the road noise (have not driven it since mats put in) I will be in C7 heaven.

I checked on Amazon, and the shipping cost is much less (1/2)... It comes from Palm Beach Motoring. Both PBM and Auto Geek charge FL tax. Saved $7.00+ on 8 oz bottle.
