C6 GS to C7 Stingray

Happy to hear all these positive comments about going from a GS to a C7. I've been a little curious as to the difference between the two and hoping it was worth it. Sounds like it was a good decision.
We sold the 12 GS about two weeks ago. The Z51 we have on order came off the production line this past Monday so the timing was good for us.

I've got a friend who's debating between a C6 GS or a C7. His defining factor is price. I told him the extra $$ for the C7 would be worth it.

IMO, there is not a single thing that my '10 GS did better than my C7. Granted they didn't have MRC at the time so it may be a little closer if you compare a fully loaded '13.

It indeed is a ZF1 package car. When looking I was determined to only buy a z51. I drove this car right after driving my GS aggressively... Here is my take:
The GS still took curves better, but not by very much. The C7 was felt very composed and actually much more well mannered.
It also helped that the C7 was a manual and my GS was auto... I missed manual soooo much.
Simple answer, with the adjustable steering and the tech advances it is pretty damn close. I didn't miss the GS one bit.

Let me put it to you this way, I had my 11' GS for 6 months... Thankfully I'm in the business so I stole that one and then stole this one. So I drove a GS and put 5k miles on it for $1.2k, not a bad deal all considered. Especially seeing as how I bought the C7 where I bought the GS.
Don't get me wrong, loved my GS, but once you drive a C7 it is like forget about it. The C6 was developed in the mid 2000s, the c7 has a decade of advancement on it.
Plus the public just oodles over the c7. The GS never got this kind of attention.

But I'm not my friend. He has to make the decision, which generation to choose. I advised him to try both out and see which one he likes better. I think we both know which one he'll choose.
