Million dollar idea right here.......
I don't know if this has been mentioned before but I'm sure it has but how's this for a great idea. You know when you first get in the C7 and the instrument display as well as the infotainment screen both show the C7 welcome thing, how about being able to customize it to whatever you want, a short 20 second start up show. I'm sure there's a way to "hack" and change this, any thoughts from software/programming gurus out there, is this feasible?

I was thinking a daily affirmation with Stuart Smalley. I can hear it now.........
"I'm driving a great car today. And dog-gone it....people like me."

It will take at least a million dollars in R&D time alone figuring out how to get into the C7's Instrument Cluster bootloader/root that holds allllll of the juicy files.
Screw up anywhere... anywhere and you have literally bricked your Corvette.
Not worth the hassle.

Would be kind of cool, but getting into the code to change it would be quite the challenge. Not sure it would be worth the time, effort or expense.

The API's were posted on another thread recently.
I want to play with them as there were quite a few cool functions available.
BUT, I would not touch it unless I was absolutely sure I could reset to factory settings. It is possible to turn your hot car into a lawn ornament if you do not know what you are doing. It is one thing to mess around with $1000 home PC, it is a completely different story to mess with a $75,000 car. Maybe after the warranty runs out.....
