First Car Show
My 6 year old granddaughter saw me preparing my car for a local car show. She asked, "G-Daddy, can I enter my car too?"
So she and I cleaned her 2014 Corvette Power Wheels car and entered it in the show as a "daily driver." You can see her sitting in my lap in the background of the photo.
She was excited as parents and their children looked at her car for the next 8 hours. She never once complained or whined. At one point she muttered to herself that the kids were getting finger prints all over her car. That was the moment that I knew, as I chuckled to myself, that she was truly a Corvette owner.
She was excited as we went to the trophy presentation but she did not receive one as the cars in the show were all truly spectacular. She took the disappointment with true sportsmanship as she claimed, "maybe next time." It's a memory that will last with us forever. May you all experience this kind of "trophy" in your lifetime.

Great story sir. It's a day you both will remember forever. Plus you have a real car-chick there, so you can really guide her in the right direction.
