Details on the 2016 Corvette's RPOs

The good news is that the 2016 Corvette is going to get some new color options and available packages and a new C7.R edition of the Z06. The bad news is that some of the previous colors and packages are going bye-bye.

Default Like to see some new blues

I am wondering when there will be another pretty blue for the Vette again. Like the old Gulfstream Blue. I hope this comment will not get me banned. I'm not bashing anything!

There is currently a beautiful blue available for the Corvette - Laguna Blue. There was never a Corvette color called Gulfstream Blue. Jetstream Blue, yes, but not Gulfstream Blue.

Default The Blues

Thanks for the correction about "Jetstream" Blue. I guess I've been caring it the wrong name ever since it came out. I love to see "Gulfstream Blue" when I'm out fishing and get into the literal "Gulfstream Blue" where the action really begins. The water color literally changes colors in the ocean. What a beautiful color.
"Jetstream" blue and "Gulfstream" Blue are are two different blues altogether. Both are beautiful!
Is that your Laguna Blue Stingray? I've never seen one in person. That is also a beautiful blue!

I love Blue Vettes, but my wife says they only come in Red! Guess that is why ours was red. Love to own another one someday!

Well you are both wrong. The correct PPG name for the color is Blue Stream. Gm changed the name to Jet Stream. It IMO is the best blue shade GM ever offered on a Corvette to date.

Opinions differ on color choices, but I'd put Electron Blue up against any other blue color out there. That said, they all look good on a Corvette.

No, Jetstream Blue is a DUPONT paint, not ppg. And PPg's color they try to match to jetstream blue doesn't match. Now, GM used blue stream on some other vehicles, and they may have used ppg for those, but the 2008 - 2011 Jetstream Blue cars were a Dupont paint.

To correctly paint a Jetstream Blue car, you must use a factory pack paint from Dupont. I know personally, after owning a jetstream blue convertible for 7 years, and having to have it painted.

The body shop had a hard time matching it, and the Dupont rep had to come out to consult with them on it.
