Great question.
The % will change all year long based on supplier component availability.
Expect the Z51 to be constrained for the entire model year.

I'm a little confused on the carbon fiber hood insert. Shows at 11% on Z06 and only constrained on 2 colors of the Stingray. Does that mean that I can order the carbon fiber hood on my DSOM without any problems ??????

So please educate a dummy.... Can you explain the percentages, timelines, etc to us that are not familiar with this? If I ordered a Z51 coupe, what do these latest restrictions mean to production timing and delivery.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I am also confused, but I an not used to seeing these reports. I will be ordering 2016 blade silver Z51 coupe, painted roof, 2 LT with red/black 2 tone seats. Will I have any long waits? Thanks -

The constraints apply to submitted orders being accepted during the allocation cycle beginning today. If an order with constraint is accepted it will move forward almost as if the constraint never existed.

Its almost a certainty that your dealer will be calling you to drop the painted roof and ask you to get the transparent roof for your order to go thru.

Great questions!
1) Your dealer must have an allocation before any of the constraints mean anything.
2) If your dealer has an allocation he may or may not have received one of more of the constrained options.
3) Carbon fiber hood insert: If your dealer has an allocation and your order is for a non-Z06 and your order doesn't include Night Race Blue, then your order won't be constrained this week.
4) Constraints can possibly exist for the entire model year based on availability from suppliers.
5) If your dealer has an allocation and your order hasn't any constrained options it will move from an order request to an in plant order.
6) Once your order request has been moved to an in plant order, future constraints have no bearing on your order.

Is this just not a report card for one seriously screwed up company? This is the best they can do? Blame it on suppliers?

Yes, they all do for high demand low production vehicles.
Constraint issues can come down to QC issues on the supplier's end or the supplier receiving a larger more profitable order and putting the item on hold while it produces the more profitable order. This is not to mention production issues, machine failures, shop down time, maintenance issues on equipment. etc.
These kinds of things happen all the time in the manufacturing world.

GM is really screwed up if they can't get their supplier to be able to produce more painted tops than 34%.
My opinion is that it is a backdoor attempt to force the selling price of the Corvette up, therefore more profit to GM.
