I notice that GM is now offering colored stitching as an option on the stingray. Do you think they got the idea from jagamajajaran posting it here? If yes, I think they should give him something if not a commission for his awesome mod idea. If anything maybe a free carbon fiber top with the yellow rails down the side.

If they didn't get the idea from jagamajajaran at least you know I tried for ya.

Lol definitely not. It's not exactly a unique idea.

Meaning it's been done on countless other cars long before the Stingray.

Jaga got the idea from the the C6. There were 4 optional colors of stitching then.

And given the lead times on automotive design and decision making, Chevy started working on it long before Jag posted.

won't happen....here are other 'customer mod' examples that became 'vette OEM worthy' over the years:

blacked out rear lower valence on the C5...about mid-run

HID headlights

LED interior lights

Red painted calipers on the C5, around 1998 initially started showing up.

18 x 19" wheels followed by 19 x 20" a few years later

etc...feel free to add to the list

Ohh I didn't realize they didn't have it on the '14 model. They should definitely pay him for that. Also pay whoever suggested the pull down hatch for the trunk, because that's how business should run.

What he did was cool to his car and a nice mod, but not unique.

Yeah, and Chevy should pay Ford a commission for the idea of putting a motor in a car.
