I had the same problem, took it to dealership and it turned out to be a loose connection. If that's the case before you leave the dealership after the fix make sure your hazard lights and light for the passenger side airbag work.

mine ordered a new screen too but like I said it just turned out to be a loose connection (so they say). Don't let them tell you that the battery had low voltage and that's what the problem was, they tried to pawn that schit on me and I had to bring it back the next day. When they fixed the connection they disconnected the hazard switch and p.side airbag light (I still haven't brought it back for the fix, waiting for the next oil change) so double check those two things. The p.side light should always be on showing p.side airbag being active or deactivated. Good luck.

My dash ('17 Z51) just went out today, it's dead. For those that said it was a loose connection, do you know where the connection is located? I have an appointment on Monday morning but if it's as simple as a loose connection I'd like to check it if (it's not too intrusive or time consuming).

Known to GM issue. First, we were told there was a service bulletin on this. But then dealer hem and hawed. Then no there wasn't one. Finally shot craps at 37K miles. Oops. Got into my 'be a jerk on the service drive' personna and got a $100 deductible fix.
