Default OnStar app displays incorrect vehicle status

For the past month or so the Onstar app on my iPhone is showing the incorrect milage, tire pressure, oil life and fuel level. I called them three times in a far-away land and they're still trying to figure it out. I'm about ready to cancel. Anyone else having a similar issue?

I assume you've refreshed in the app?

If you're on Android, try clearing the data using the application manager, and start over (you'll need to log in again). If you're on a iPhone, I assume there's a way to do something similar, but I don't know how.

I'd never pay for Onstar, so I'm curious: Why would you need Onstar to check mileage, fuel level, tire pressure, etc?

I've noticed that on my DD vehicle. I refresh the screen and it displays the correct info.

Even refresh does not always work. But yes, I've noticed the same.

Default App

Foolish question: What does anyone need an App to tell them what they most likely know from driving their car? Just another type of "selfey" now for your car.

My data from OnStar has always been accurate. Fuel level, mileage, oil life, tire pressure have been accurately reported.

Need? No, no one "needs" this. But it is a convenience when you think to check at a time you're not in the car.

None of us "need" 90% of what the infotainment system offers, or power adjustable steering wheels, or.... You get the point.

Most of the time that act of refreshing brings all data to current information. The app isn't clairvoyant and most likely doesn't interrogate the systems on the car until you tell it to.

Just an added benefit. The best part of the app is the ability to find addresses and POIs quickly and send them directly to the car's nav instead of using the super slow in car interface.
