I DID NOTICE WHEN YOU GET BLACK WHEELS, THE CENTER CAP IS NOW TRIMMED IN CARBON FLASH BLACK RATHER THAN CHROME AS LAST YEARS WHEELS

hope thats the case with base black wheels too!!

Yes now you get the 2LT interior trim when you pay for 3LT, nice move toward cheap

Absolutely not true. 2LT does not give you genuine leather on the dash and door panels, it doesn't give you any micro suede, and it gives you no Kalahari on the dash. All they changed was the color distribution; I highly doubt that it costs any less than last year's version.

The change was made to provide continuity across the different trim levels. The '14 and '15 3LT Kalahari interior made no sense in the scheme of things. Now they are equivalent in color distribution. And as mpuzach so astutely pointed out, there is no cost difference for a different color pattern, it's the same quantity of leather.

Actually there is still not a total equivalence in color distribution as the grey has grey carpets and the brownstone is all brown, and if I remember correctly the new red or maybe one of the packages has red on the dash-I could be wrong on that last point.

Correct. The Spice Red Design Package includes a dash that is wrapped in Spice Red, an interior color reserved strictly for that design package.

2016 3LT Kalahari 2 tone dash looks better than all Kalahari dash in 2014/2015.

I perfer the '14 % '15's Kalahari interior. Much classier. Bean counters at work.

So MY16 appears to be some trim and option package charges, guess a holding pattern. Hopefully that means they have some MECHNICAL upgrades in the pipeline for MY17.

Kind of reminds me of the C6, when the LS3 appeared in 2008 aka year 4. If I was in the market today knowing that history I don't think I'd buy a 2016.

Too bad the color stitching isn't available on the 2LT black interior. The red stitching looks great!

RICK -

Do you notice any change/improvement in the FEEL of the screen or its responsiveness??

There are some assumptions that the type of screen technology was changed, from resistive to capacitive to accommodate the additional functions of Apple CarPlay...

And THANKS for posting these updates

I've got some black lug nuts coming in tomorrow, so now I need to get some of those carbon flash center caps to complete the black theme. My mission is to rid the car of all exterior chrome.
