Absolutely not true. 2LT does not give you genuine leather on the dash and door panels, it doesn't give you any micro suede, and it gives you no Kalahari on the dash. All they changed was the color distribution; I highly doubt that it costs any less than last year's version.

Some very nice changes to the car for 2016.

The change was made to provide continuity across the different trim levels. The '14 and '15 3LT Kalahari interior made no sense in the scheme of things. Now they are equivalent in color distribution. And as mpuzach so astutely pointed out, there is no cost difference for a different color pattern, it's the same quantity of leather.

So MY16 appears to be some trim and option package charges, guess a holding pattern. Hopefully that means they have some MECHNICAL upgrades in the pipeline for MY17.
Kind of reminds me of the C6, when the LS3 appeared in 2008 aka year 4. If I was in the market today knowing that history I don't think I'd buy a 2016.

Too bad the color stitching isn't available on the 2LT black interior. The red stitching looks great!

Do you notice any change/improvement in the FEEL of the screen or its responsiveness??
There are some assumptions that the type of screen technology was changed, from resistive to capacitive to accommodate the additional functions of Apple CarPlay...
And THANKS for posting these updates
