Tail lights...interesting observation
For those of us who were in it from the beginning, when the first pictures of the Stingray were being released, there was a lot of spirited/negative "conversation" about the Corvette having "Camaro tail lights".
Then, for 2014 and 2015, the Camaro migrated to very different tail lights...
Now, for 2016, the Camaro seems to have raided the Corvette parts bin for its tail lights...virtually identical...

Wow that's awful, here we go again.

Up until this moment, I never saw the resemblance, but if that's what the new Camaro tail lights are going to look like, I'm officially disappointed with GM.

Just out of curiosity, what are those tower/pyramid things? Something out of 2005?

On the Camaro, the LEDs on the inner set of lights curve up towards the sides of the car. On the C7 these curve in towards the midline of the car.
They are similar otherwise.
I wonder if the people on the Camaro forums will be having arguments and debates for the next 2 years over whether or not the Camaro tail lights look like the Corvette's?
On a side note, I've never been much of a Camaro fan and this latest iteration isn't doing anything to change that.

Doesn't bother me what the Camaro lights look like - I do not have any interest in owning one. But it does seem like they look a lot like the C7 lights.

However I wonder when looking at your pics if GM isn't trying to ride the hype and popularity of the C7 to increase Camaro sales!

If they had kept the 2015 exterior styling, updated the interior, and dropped 400 lbs, I would have considered buying a 2016 Camaro. Oh well.

O M G ! Taillights ? You're worried about the taillights ? There are way worse things that could happen in life.

Really what difference does it make, this stuff really gets old quick.

Its a brand image. A lot of the Chevy cars have similar taillight designs. A lot of other cars have similar taillight designs within their brand. I don't plan on seeing the taillights of a Camaro anyway!

Interesting observation on the taillights.
The back of the Camaro looks too boxy for my tastes.

I like the exhaust system a lot better on the Camaro. I am not overly in love with the four centered pipes with the surround fairing on the C7. The Camaro has the current Design Team signature as the Corvette.

That's not all that has been taken. Look at a side view and then look at the wheels. The design cues from the Corvette have proven to be popular and it looks as though Chevy is trying to cash in on it. Making little brother resemble big brother.
I don't care much, I like cars and if it looks good all the better. And if it's fast and it has some adgility, then all the better.
