C7 Corvette | GTX Side skirt set | Fiberglass
[2014-up] C7 Corvette GTX Side skirt set | Fiberglass Beautifuly crafted Z06 inspired side skirts for the [2014- up] C7 Stingray Corvette and Z06. ...$499.00 off their website.
Do what I said, call Andwar directly. I painted my own GTX Fiberglass side skirts in Carbon Mist Metallic.
I saw the unpainted ones but I would be interested in painted carbon flash
. Did you paint yours with spray gun or cans of spray paint? The shipping to Wisconsin would probably cost about $100.

C7Carbon price included shipping to my front door via UPS.
They ship from San Diego, CA
Don't assume pricing, just call them. Speak only with Andwar!
I used spray can paint. It was easy and just took my time. Any small job can be done using a spray can if the prep is done and completed correctly. The key to using spray can paint is a continuous spray without stopping on the part being painted. Start the spray before the paint hits the part and stop the spray after the paint passes the part. It is all about the paint stroke. I also used a trigger spray handle rather using my finger.
The results were excellent and professional.
Sanded ultra smooth, used an adhesion promoter (2 coats) even though the side skirts were fiberglass. The adhesion promoter also acts as a primer. Applied 3 coats of base coat, and applied 3 coats of high gloss automotive clear coat, then buffed using Meguiars 205, and coat of Pinnacle Synergy Wax. Took me 3 days from start to finish and a 40 minute install of both sides.
Installed mine the other week. Only about $105 including shipping. Super easy to install. Sticks out slightly ahead of fangs, so might offer a little protection. Figured it was a cheap way to protect the front end since I didn't have the 2016 front cameras.
Do you have details on the supplier of the rockers / side skirts? I assume they are not GM parts. I bought the "poverty" splitter and I assume it is the same one on your car (looks fantastic!) and would like the matching rockers if they are available. Thanks for any details on what you used.

I used 1/4" plastic rivets in the two center holes just to minimize the hole size... I drilled just a 1/8" hole for the rest and used bumper cover screws with a flat washer and U-nut as the backup from inside the bumper..
Could you provide more details and/or photos of how you used the U-nuts. I can't figure out how you use them in this situation. Thanks.
Did you reinstall the little winglets? Wondering if they are needed.

The Z51 air dams are to improve gas mileage, presumably at highway speeds. It's probably minimal, but it's better than nothing.
After installing the OEM splitter and observing that the splitter is more likely to scrape than without--in fact the splitter slightly scrapes every time in my driveway--I realized I cannot install the Novistrech until after pulling the car out of the driveway.
So, be particularly aware with the splitter if you have the Novistrech installed--DANGER, Will Robinson!
The poverty splitter has gone up in price since Nmvettec7 bought his last December. I just ordered one from GMPD and the total was $129.62 ($94.67 + $34.95 shipping). I guess shipping rates have increased 75% since then. It's still the lowest price I could find.
Thanks. Just returned the scrivets I purchased at Lowes and I will order the ones from Amazon. Don't have any race ramps so I will have to use a 90 degree adapter on my cordless drill as I don't think there will be enough clearance with the wheels on the ground. Don't think my BMW jack will reach the jacking pucks on the Corvette.

There's a listing on the sleazebay for $110.60 shipped. They have 4 at the moment. Also another listing at $125ish shipped.

Try your dealer, I told them about GMPD price and got it in 1 day and it was 8 bucks cheaper.
I think you'll need a more gradual angle or the car will just push those away.
From the rubber tire marks on the wood I'd say they work fine. I used 3/4" plywood because it was what I had on hand and the slope is pretty gentle on mine.

I have the same ramp setup with a 45° angle on the two step-up boards and have had no problems. Works great and cost nothing since I used boards I had lying around the house. I have a Harbor Freight crossbeam adapter but it's two adjustable arms are too wide at their minimum position to fit either front or rear, so I'm going to mod it to work on the C7.

Is that an $8 savings before taxes? We have 9% sales tax here. I didn't even check with any of the local dealers because I was sure they wouldn't come off 25% from MSRP to match GMPD.

I looked earlier in the week and a few minutes ago and the lowest I saw was $141.20 shipped for the OEM Stage 1 splitter. I searched on "Corvette C7 splitter" (no quotes).
Anyway, I already ordered from GMPD so I'm locked in on it.
