For me, it is an easy decision... YES! I have owned other premium cars in the past, with and without clear bra (aka PPF), and I will tell you that getting a respray about every other year or so gets old, and pretty expensive, very very quickly. And frankly, the ONLY absolute-matching respray I ever had done was on a non-metallic black '97 Porsche 911/993 in Germany. The other cars I had done were not quite a perfect match and being the CDO-'tard that I am (that's OCD ... alphebetized), it ground away at my soul every time I looked at the car(s). The PPF absorbs the brunt of the road debris for sure. It does not/cannot usually protect it all. That is unless you wrap your entire vehicle, which I am actually considering, in clear bra. Do your research and spend your money at a well-established shop that has a sound reputation, product and labor warranty, and plenty of experience with high-end cars. Expensive? It can be, but be advised, you almost always get what you pay for at highly recommended shops. Don't cheap out on clear bra and/or window tint. Once the clear bra becomes pitted and gross, it's easy to just have it replaced and keep on truckin'!!! As an aside, I recommend that you get a clear bra without UV protection so the paint "fades" equally. Hope that helps.

Very true.
I recommend doing the sides, front bumper, and hood (I did).

Just traded our Victory Red 2009 at 102k miles, for this one.
We were only window shopping, but my wife saw the color in person instead of in a photo, and fell in love.

2017 Coupe Z51, 2LT

(Just saw the previous posts, but still wondering): How does Xpel or the other clear wraps, look on LBR? I'm thinking this would be a hard color to do good touch up on and we should get the front wrapped. But not if it kills or changes the color.

141 miles new. We just can't believe the differences in color, depending on the light...

Congratulations. I have 3M protection and you can't even tell its on the car. It is hard to touch up by the way. Metallics are that way in any color.

I just had Suntek installed on our 2016 Z06, Long Beach Red, you can't tell it's on the car except where it stops, like around the fuel door. Suntek Ultra now has a 10 year warranty. The company that installed mine said Suntek is the best.

Thanks!
We just got our front and rockers wrapped yesterday; you are correct. Hard to tell it's there unless you can find an edge and there aren't many of those.

Great color - Probably the most underrated color in the current line right now; especially when you see it in person.

It's a matter of taste, but to us the lighter/brighter colors don't look good on a C7 because there is so much black trim- scoops, vents, valance, etc. If you have a light color, there's a battle going on between light/bright and black.

If you go for black or Watkins Gray, the car looks like a monotone lump because the body and the trim are too close in color.

LB Red and the discontinued medium grays or even that green they had for one year, have just the right contrast.

I never thought we would ever own a Corvette in any color except a bright red, but here we are.

Others are permitted to disagree and we'll still enjoy your company...

SunTek on ours, doesn't change the color at all - and with a good installer who wraps most of the edges, very difficult to detect.

Default Not The Same Kinda

Our C6 was Monterey Red. Similar to LBR. We loved the car. Went to Blade Silver with the C7. But LBR tugs at my heart strings.

2016 base convertible. Chrome emblems and grill bar removed. Front splitter, carbon flash stinger stripe and Z51 rear spoiler added. Stock red calipers clashed so "tint coated" a deeper color closer to the spice red package version.
