I went with the two tone grey - looks very rich.

I'm deciding between two Vette's. One is a 2017 Torch red LT2 ( which is my first choice) and has the performance exhaust and is blacked out badges and wheels. Nice looking car. The other is a pre-owned 2016 ( 1k miles ) Z51 and LT2 with a ton of options in LBR with the chrome Z51 wheels. They are very different looking cars to me. The torch red car stands out more and is more of a sports/ race/funny car look and the other LBR with the chrome wheels is more refined and classy looking. While I like the look of the black wheels and badges I think that look might grow old after awhile. It's a tough call for me.

Thanks. I wasn't that hung up on a Z51 car although that is the only version I have driven ( and loved) I won't track the car but so many of the reviews say "by all means get the Z51 package". I'm not sure how much difference the performance gearing/shifting will make. I'm also looking at resale value. The LBR while a model year older is really the same car but loaded up and MSRP'ed for 73k. It's like a 20k discount which is crazy.

Awesome car. I just put a deposit down on a Z51/2LT that is LBR. The more I see it the more I love it. Looks better with silver wheels than black in my opinion. I am wondering that is the paint up-charge just for metallic part or is there anything else to it?

Thanks. I believe the additional charge is because the paint process for this color has an additional step to it. Enjoy your car when you get it, they are Awesome....

Just saw a video showing that the Long Beach Red from the new paint factory is darker than the earlier versions. The dealer had a Corvette painted in the old factory and one from the new paint shop. Had them side by side so you could get a good comparison. I saw a 2019 Grand Sport in LBR and I loved the color. It was fairly dark even in bright sunlight. Some dark red metallic turn much lighter in the sun. This one was still fairly dark in bright sun. I have one on order. The Sales guy was surprised since the color code has not changed. So the difference is how it is applied in the new paint facility. Was reading about the upgrades in the paint system. It suppose to give a much smoother finish, less orange peel.

it's all about the light angle. Even parked next to one another, it's the angle of the camera to the car, coupled with the angle of the light on the car.
