Not really, it nets out the dealer roughly the same profit but the invoice price is ~3% higher than it was just last month.

The days of 9% off are gone unless GM starts offering incentives.

6-7% off MSRP is probably going to be the going prices unless demand really picks up. Dealers seem to be having no trouble getting cars. I will be interested to see if any dealers continue to offer up to 10% off MSRP on cars ordered after around July 17 when the invoice price was supposed to increase.

That may be true, but since Chevrolet raised the dealer invoice price by 3 percent in mid July, the price paid by the buyer with the discount is now 3 percent more. On the 2lt I am ordering, that adds up to several thousand dollars more (9 % v 6%).

And dealer invoice pricing will have substantial advertising fees (my dealers is about $1,300) that GM adds to dealer invoice pricing that were not included in the previous GM CU/Supplier discount prigrams, a big game changer dollar wise.

I just took delivery on a 2016 Z51, and it took me about 200 miles to know its a really fantastic car.

I got a very reasonable price, but its still stupid expensive compared with a Kia. If you want a deal, buy a Kia.

I'm a Porsche guy, and I love Porsches, but if you are buying a sports car of this performance level, your next best alternative is a Porsche that will cost $40K more.

Hate to see when there is no relevance to the actual conversation. Oh yes, I have Porsche's and Ferrari's in my garage also.

I get a deal whether I buy a Porsche or a Kia. It is silly to say if you want a deal buy a Kia! I would not have purchased if I wasn't able to get the Credit Union pricing. Most people here want to save as much money as possible.

So if there's a new 2015 on the lot you should be able to get the 9% credit union discount if you had the certificate before July and it's not expired and a reduced price for being last years model?

Yes, the price you pay is printed clearly on the Invoice which they are required to show you as part of the program. There is no other discounting allowed by the program so you won't get any more off for it being a 2015.
