Default Question for A6 owners

Over the weekend during some moderately aggressive motoring I noted that my A-6 would downshift either one or two gears and then seem to "hang" in that gear and not upshift irrespective of throttle position or load. I would have to upshift with the paddle or wait for a "delayed" gear change.

I have scheduled a visit to the dealer to trbl. shoot, but am curious if any of you have experienced the same.

Thanks.

This is normal its called "performance shift management". When you drive aggressively the car knows you want to play so it holds the gears for you so you're in the power all the time.

Thanks for the responses. It's just a bit unnerving as the behavior is not what I've known in the past.

Hold the upshift paddle continuously and performance mode shuts off.
