I have both Z51 and Z06...lucky me right. I was planning on selling the Z51 but my wife decided to keep it, and I am happy when she is. The Z51 is more than enough car...we have black on black, its badass. My goal this year was to get a Z06...be careful what you wish for. Z06 is awesome! You will love everything about it, but is it too much-at times it is. Its a car you have to get used too driving. Its look is amazing because its a little wider with the brake cooling ducts...etc. Buy it and if you are not happy sell it...that's how I do it. At the least you can say I experienced it. Enjoy this life.

I can't stop thinking about it. The wide body, bigger tires, it looks positively sinister. Now I want one, as much as I love my car. Makes no rational sense.

Keep the 2014 and get the Z06 too!

If this helps...

I have both a C6 and C7 and when I purchased my C6 back in 2012 I had a decision. Coupe? GS? or Z06? I wasn't considering the ZR1.

What I did...bought the coupe and made the car my own.
>+ZR1 acceleration, GS equivalent suspension upgrades, upgraded brakes, new wheels, and a car to call my own.

All for less money. Is it a GS, Z06 or ZR1? No, but I can pop my roof off, have the suspension tweaked so it's a fun daily, and has the nice taller gearing of the coupe model for the upgraded power she makes. I don't miss having a Z06 or equivalent and am happy with my current ride.

The point (TL : DR)...keep your current car, make it your own, and enjoy the thing. It's obvious you don't care about resale value by getting rid of a brand new car that you just took all the depreciating hit on. Just mod the crap out of it and make it sing.

There's two Z06's in the Vette club I'm in. They're bad looking but honestly, not so different in looks to sway me away from my Stingray.
If you feel you have to have one, it's your money, go for it.
