Default Considering a Corvette or Rick Conti?

From someone who has as of today done both, twice, you would be making two of the best decisions of your life...

Chevrolet, thank you for making a phenomenal machine! This is an era which will not soon be forgotten. In the first 60 miles today driving around after receiving my 2016 z06 convertible at my house via enclosed carrier, people pulled over to let me pass just to look at it!

The new 2016 z06 handles on the road like a surgeon's scalpel in an OR! The triple black look is out of this world here on the West coast, as cars are usually more bright colors.

My prior 2008 z06 was a very good vehicle. This seventh generation z06 sits lower than any pictures portray, and in the few miles I've driven, based upon about 90 reviews I read from various locations prior to buying it, where they say this car is good, it is that good or better. Fit, finish, looks, sound, acceleration (in no way getting on it, and keeping it under 3500 rpm during the break in period) is STILL incredible!

The interior of my Z06 looks and feels at least as good as my wife's 2016 Jaguar F-Type S Coupe. Sure, the F-Type does look very good, but the Z06 looks better to me, and power from the Jaguar is no match for the Corvette.

In Sport mode, the ride is not even remotely harsh as some comments in the forum state, and I have the Z07 package in a convertible. Then again, maybe Southern California roads are better, as we certainly don't deal with iced roads nor a lot of potholes, and I always set up my cars so I get the most feedback from any road. It's a sports car, after all.

No doubt from what I've read, Dave at Kerbeck and Mike at Criswell are excellent partners for your purchase (as are other forum dealers), but I want to comment about my experience with Rick Conti.

Let me start out by saying that I do not like working with sales people.

However, Rick is a Corvette person, who happens to sell Corvettes. Rick kept me informed of what I needed to know, and when I needed to know it. First class service. This is why I returned to him for the 2016 Z06.

Keep in mind, also, that Rick (and most certainly the other forum dealers) are very busy with many clients. Be patient. Don't badger them with constant calling and email. He (and I am certain the others) will keep you informed as you need to be. Don't get angry if you aren't receiving daily feedback.

Both my cars showed up detailed and with extra touches that you only get from Rock Star Corvette enthusiasts like Rick!

In my experience, people return to what works for them, and in my case, this is Chevrolet Corvette and Rick Conti.

Advice to those thinking of buying a Corvette, you probably won't go wrong with any of the large forum dealers, I just wanted to recognize Rick as someone I could comment on from first hand experience.

If you are looking to buy your Corvette, read the forum here, and help yourself by being about 90% knowledgable about what you want when you approach whomever you choose to buy from. Pay attention to the constraints thread, too.

Your transaction will sail through! I ordered June 16th. My 2016 is in my driveway today, exactly as I ordered it.

Good luck on your purchase!

Thank you Chevrolet and thank you Rick Conti!

Potential customers: Rick got me my Z51 nearly two years ago when it was really tough. He will come through for you.

OP that's a beautiful car!

Beautiful car, congrats

And you are right. There is a difference between a salesperson and an enthusiast who is lucky enough to sell his passion. I was lucky enough to work with Mike at Criswell and guys like Rick and Mike make the purchase of a car the exciting and pleasurable experience that it should be

Happy driving

Mark

I completely agree with you about Rick! I can second the great experience I had purchasing from Rick; oh and let's not forget his partner in crime, Bethany.

Enjoy your new car!

Default Corvettte Conti

I totally agree, Rick took care of me. He got the order for my '15 C7 to GM the first day they were accepting them. My car was built on the 2nd day of production. He arranged the transporter for delivery to my door. The car arrived spotless and with no damage. He runs a class operation!
