Default Drove in a C7

I had the opportunity to take a ride in a base C7 auto. I was blown away. Performance and cabin head and shoulders over my C6. The body I'm not so crazy about, especially that rear end. But otherwise its a winner.

I really like the change in the rear design. Think it looks sharp and modern. Glad you like the other bits (vroom vroom)

OMG what a diff!@$/\×÷£₩(£
I didn't even get on it ! Yes to me after being pratical for past 30 years it is indeed going to be my supper car..
So Dan Houser in Atlanta has a white z51 waiting for final signing later this weekend and go get it mid of next week.

The C7 is a lot different than the C6 in many areas and in many intangible ways also. I drove a C7 and thought it was a fine car and more refined than the C6. That said, I did not feel the connectivity with the road I do in a C6 and the C6 has a more raw feel. I am probably in the minority here but I laughed when I heard another member report the C7 is not a car but "a computer with wheels."

I was going to buy a used c6 for around 30k and the wife told me to just buy a c7 and be done with it.
The other day I parked next to a c6 and thought damn my wife is pretty freaking brilliant because I love everything about the c7

I owned my 2005 Z51 coupe since new and the thrill never wore off in the nine years we were together. Truth be told, by the time the 2013 models came out (especially the 427 convertible), I couldn't imagine how the upcoming C7 could possibly top it. After seeing the unveiling on 1-13-13, I was quite underwhelmed. After seeing it in person at the museum three months later, I thought it was one of the most beautiful cars ever. A test drive of a friend's 2014 coupe exactly one year later and it was all over. My 2015 Z51 coupe will be a year old next month. It has vastly exceeded all of my expectations and is by far the finest and most beautiful car I've ever even imagined owning.

Glad you like your C6, loved mine for 6 years. I guess the thing that got me into the C7 was seeing the tail lights all the time from the drivers seat in my C6.

I took a test drive and was wowed by the whole experience. Ended up buying the car within two weeks.

I traded in my C6 427 1SC for a z51 C7 3lt. I swore that I would never get rid of the 427 but guess what, over 2 1/2 years things change. The new C7 is no comparison. The biggest difference is when you have the top down there is little wind noise. You can speak in a normal voice without yelling at each other. Among other things is the ride, the handling and the more torque at lower RPM. The 427 was a monster and I loved it but it was time to move on to newer and more refined vehicle.

I personally like everything about the C7 better than the C6 and think GM hit a home run with it. I know everyone has their own style they like but to me the C7 changed the Corvette forever and is in a different class now.

You can paint the lower portion of the C-7 rear end to match the color of your car. Some have done this and like the all one color rear a lot better.
