^^^ Nice pic with everything out of the way! The OP may not want to remove everything shown so just a tip so the carpet isn't ripped! Pop off the bottom clips on the plastic wheel cover on the passenger side. Can use a plastic molding tool or your fingers may be enough. No need to mess with the top clips or other top fasteners. That will allow you to pull out the carpet without ripping in the corner.
The pic also shows fuse 37 which is the 20 amp fuse for the power receptical on the outside of the console. It switches on with the engine. Fortunately it's at the bottom of the panel and relatively easy to access. Getting at the whole panel is not easy! A number of us early owners used an Add-A-Circuit to power radar detectors by installing it in that fuse. More recently folks found ways to tape the mirror. Not as easy as the C6 but it can be done. At first going to the rear seams like a long way but it's easy to route the positive wire as there is no removal of parts, it just slips under the carpet side molding and is fused the full length! I used a ground under the dash.

I think 22 is. That's the rear power outlet.
