Cops like Vettes: Fact or myth?
I've had my crystal red C7 vert for 18 months and 27,100 miles. I was stopped for the first time on Monday, for speeding, in Big Bear Lake, a mountain resort near LA. I asked the Sheriff for a break and got off with a warning. My home and business are within close proximity to four police jurisdictions: LAPD, LA County Sheriff, Glendale PD, and California Highway Patrol. I regularly get honks and waves from cops. I've gotten numerous compliments on my Vette from cops. What is your experience?

I lived in Big Bear for 24 years and just recently moved to Havasu. I was never stopped in any of my corvettes during my time there but I was an LEO on the mountain. Yes we love the corvettes and big bear hosts one of the better so. cal corvette events as well as a great car show in Aug. of each year so they are all used to and appreciate nice cars.

Cruising into town after my drive back from selling dealer. Needed to get title/registration work done. In right lane at a stop light and noticed a state trooper coming up in the left lane. As we were stopped at the light I heard one of siren quick beeps. I looked over and he was giving me a big thumbs up and said, "gorgeous car my man." Took me a bit by surprise and being the smart *** I am, I thanked him and then asked if he wanted to race to the next light.

I had a local give me the toot with his loud speaker just last evening while cruising around.
