Default Happy Day

All in one day I got a call that my c-7 would be built the week of October 5th and the transfer of $$ went thru on my 13 Grand Sport and my buddy picked it up today. Bittersweet on the Grand Sport though as it was a beautiful crystal red with cashmere interior and top.
Now looking forward to the museum delivery (our 2nd).
We are so lucky to be just a little over two and one half hours away from the museum

Blue Max,

I just got my Oct.5 TPW as well. Picking mine up at the NCM on November 13. Do you have a delivery date yet?

Not yet If it is made the week of the 5th it takes one to two weeks for it to get to the museum The latest would be around the 22nd of Oct. November 13 sounds like a long time from Oct 5

My wife and I are flying up from Houston and taking a few days to drive back. My schedule, plus the fact that I had a number of family members (all Vette owners) that will be converging on the NCM for the festivities necessitated the date of November 13th.

I know it will sit a couple of weeks but I wanted to make sure it would be ready by the date I scheduled the delivery.

Btw, my wife thought it would be a good idea to book a B&B in BG. Checking the NCM site, I booked 1869 Homestead B&B. Turns out it is owned by Wendell Strode and his wife - Exec. Director of the NCM.

Looking forward to meeting Wendell and hearing his stories!

Congratulations! I just sold my '12 GS, transferred to the new owner on Wednesday, and am flying out tomorrow for my scheduled Museum delivery on Tuesday. This will also be our second - we picked the wife's Stingray up last June and then enjoyed Bucket List trip #1 driving across country. Tomorrow begins Bucket List trip #2.

Good luck with the wait, and enjoy the experience!!!

One of the great advantages to Museum delivery... Being able to schedule the delivery in advance.

Mine was built on 8/10, so will have been sitting for nearly a month, but the timing was predicated on our schedule and availability.

Nothing like breaking in a new Corvette over two weeks going across country and seeing the sights!

tunaman,

Congrats to you as well. Sounds like a great trip! You must be stoked. Can't wait to hear your trip report and see some photos.

My 11-year old daughter was giving me grief about me obsessing over the upcoming delivery. I told her "You know how incredibly excited you get when you are waiting for Christmas morning"? Well, as adults it's rare that we have the opportunity to get as excited as an 11-year old at Xmas, so I'm milking this for all it's worth.

That is exactly the perfect analogy... The anticipation of Christmas' past, being relived once again.

Awesome. We put just over 4300 on hers the last time, and should end up about the same on this trip.

Enjoy your new C7 when you get it!
