I mean there was demand for fake convertible tops on Cadillac's as well. They can offer Gold Chains as well to put around the rear view mirrors and there would be a small amount of people that will opt for that.....they could make round lights an option and some people will opt for that too....they could make pop up lights and option too..........Manufacturers that produce cars like the Corvette should be forward thinking and cutting edge, not hanging on to the past to appease a small minority of their buyers.

You probably hate all of these Corvettes as well.
1953 - chrome
1963 - chrome
1973 - chrome
Where I come from, if you have black wheels, the you are most likely Amish. They used to paint the chrome bumpers black (when cars still had metal bumpers) because they don't want to be 'flashy' in any way. It's just their way. This is why the Amish buggies are black as well, and the men wear black most of the time. Yes I know, none of this is related to your hatred for chrome on the Corvette. I'm a cranky old man and I don't really give a rats *** if you hate me or not.

It is obvious that what GM/Chevy offers on the Corvette is successful as is shown by the wide variety of C7's on the road. Even some younger people enjoy the look of chrome wheels as some older people ( like me ) enjoy the look of black wheels.
You don't have to be a want to be anything to enjoy the C7.

Not really true. I like the look and I am not to lazy to clean them. That is one of the neat things about the Corvette. There are many options that I don't care for but others enjoy. It helps to make each car fit the owner when that person can order exactly what they want, or can find on the lot.

If you don't like them, don't get them. Problem solved!

I know I am going to get some heat for this but every time I see a C7 with Chrome Wheels it just seems out of place. I mean does any other Sports Car come with this option?
I know GM makes a good profit on Chrome Wheels but I am sure they used to make good profit on fake Convertible tops on Cadillac's as well at the cost of hurting their long term reputation in which they are still trying to fix. GM is trying to attract younger buyers to the Corvette and they are succeeding for the most part but perhaps losing the Chrome Wheel option is another step in that direction. And if someone really wants them I am sure they will go to the aftermarket for them.

There was this guy, from long ago, a famous man, and he only liked blondes, so much so that he tried to remove the non-blonde option. Is that what you are trying to do here? Just because you don't like it?

What??? If you don't agree then make a valid argument as to why instead of nonsense replies!

I did make a valid argument. You don't like chrome wheels, and you want GM to remove that option for Corvette. I'm just pointing out the similarities to history of your way of thinking. Maybe because I didn't use the famous guys name you are confused. Sorry.

My C7 is my sixth Corvette. I've always had chrome wheels, until I purchased my C7 off the lot. It came with black wheels. I intended to change over to chrome wheels but then I started to like the black wheels. Now I love them! And I'm in my 50's. I would say, don't knock black wheels until you try them. But if you want to stick with chrome wheels, that's cool too. Variety makes the world go round!

BTW, the reason GM still offers chrome wheels its because they sell more chrome wheels than ANY other wheel!
GM C7 Official Sales Figure By Wheel
QX3 Chrome Non Z51 Wheels – 64%
QG6 Silver Non Z51 Wheels – 28%
RQ1 Machine Non Z51 Wheels – 7%
Q7T Z51 Black Wheels – 48%
Q7E Z51 Chrome Wheels – 34%
Q7S Z51 Silver Wheels – 13%
