Default Music Question

Anyone know of a way to play an Ipod (ITunes) without conversion to a flash drive?

For my Ipod nano 5th gen, I just plug it in to my 2014 C7 USB port and it appears in the media center with album artwork and everything.

The 2016 C7 supposedly has "Apple Carplay" and seems like that would allow far more bells and whistles, but I can't help you with that, although here's a story about it:

I'm okay with my low-tech C7.

Does the 5th gen have a USB connection?

Do you mean 5th gen Corvette, or 5th gen ipod? All ipods have a usb connection. The proprietary (thanks Apple) connecting cable is USB on the other end. If you mean a C5 Corvette, you're probably out of luck.

Any solid state ipod should work fine plugged into a C7's USB port. The hard disk based ipods aren't supported, apparently.

To clarify, I have an Ipod 5th gen, and a Corvette 7th gen. The two seem to get along fine.
