No Crystal Red Metallic in 2016?
Awesome color so why drop it for 2016. I know they came out with Long Beach Red but there should be room in the Red family for Crystal Red metallic.

Not this year unless you'd rather have a Tahoe!

Magnetic Red was on my 02.That red didn't change to a pinkish hue like CR did.See what this new red looks like compared to the MR.

I disagree, I loved Crystal Red, however there is never a need in the lineup for 3 different reds. For the past few generations the Corvette has generally had only two reds at any given time, one a brighter non metallic red and one metallic red.

Only 10 colors available due to paint shop restrictions. No way they can have 3 different reds. The reds, blues, silvers and yellows get changed around every few years. Moral of the story - if you like a particular color (outside of white, black and basic red), get it while it's available. If you wait a model year, it may be gone.

Saw an LBR at Criswell today. It's definitely darker, and more burgundy, than the CRM. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of either one, but would say I like CRM better in cloudy conditions, and LBR better in the sun. Not that one has a choice now.

Here is another picture that was posted earlier with various 2016 color options. You can really see in this picture how much darker the LBR is compared to the vibrant Torch Red.
I personally like the color and plan to order it, however I want to see one in person first. I am attending a show in October at a large regional Chevrolet dealership and I'm hoping they have either a Stingray or Z06 in stock in this color. From the pictures I've seen on line, I like it. However, I haven't yet warmed up to the Spice Red interior so I'm leaning towards the Jet Black interior with comp seats and red stitching.

This is the best photo I've seen on line. I think it was posted by Rick Conti. The 2015 Crystal Red is in back and the 2016 Long Beach Red (Z06) is in front off to the side. It is a darker red, similar to the older C6 Montery Red, however it's also a deeper color which is why it looks darker in the shade and brighter in the sunlight.

Post I made in the Z06 section earlier today.
Just got back from Reliable Chevrolet and they had just unloaded three new 2016's off the delivery truck, with two of them being Z06's and two of the three being the new red color.
Z51 with chromes and the new red and a Z06 with black wheels and the new red. The Z06 started down the assembly line on Sept 1, 2015 and arrived at Reliable on Sept 8, 2015(today).
To my eye, the color is not red but maroon. Reminded me a lot of the Honduras Maroon on my 1964 Malibu SS(and used also on the Corvette).
I didn't have a chance to look at the new red in bright sunlight, but under an overcast sky, and inside the shop where the Z06 was receiving it's PDI.
I really liked the color and it went very well with the black wheels(and I'm not that fond of black wheels) on the Z06.
The other Z06 was Laguna Blue.
Neither Z06's are sold, so one of you might want to check them out, especially the one painted the new red.
They also have a 2015 Torch red Z06 in the showroom.
I might also mention that their annual Corvette show is this Sunday(Sept 13, 2015) at the dealership, so if you are in the area, stop by, and if you want to, display your car or enter the show(no fee) and possibly win a trophy.
A big plus is that you can buy a raffle tickets(2) that will get you into any NASCAR race and into the pits and the garages. The tickets are not for sale by anyone and NASCAR gives them out to charities. Proceeds from the raffle will go to No Greater Sacrifice, Green Beret Foundation, and Breast Cancer Research. Two sets of tickets will be raffled off.
If you are a NASCAR fan, this is a chance to go to any NASCAR race and be able to go where the general public isn't allowed.
