Did you buy the NPP for yourself or for other people?
Just curious to hear what motivations are.
I was talking to a friend that has a Challenger and he mentioned about how good his car sounds to him after adding an after-market exhaust.
I mentioned that some car manufacturers are now adding engine sound to the car cabin (rumbles, burbbles, farts, etc.) via the internal speakers.
He was pretty upset to hear this since the noise he enjoys can't be shared with others (and he said as much).
So I started to wonder if he is adding exhaust modification for his enjoyment (which he clearly did), why should he care what other people hear unless he is trying to impress them with the noises his car makes. Rather like blaring a stereo with your choice of music so everyone in ear-shot can share the experience.
Clearly if he owned a BMW or MINI (or one of a few other cars) that uses the manufactured engine noise, he would be completely happy listening to the sounds (or until he found out only he and his car occupants) were the only ones hearing it. Then he would feel cheated in some way.
So where do you come down on this? Do you care how your car sounds to you when you drive it or must it sound like that to others also?

Me. Nothing on mine is for anybody else.

Honestly. I could give a rats *** about what anyone thinks about my car (or how it sounds). In any way shape or form.
Any way it looks or sounds, is because of the only opinion on it that matters. Mine

But I bet you would be a bit embarrassed if it sounded like one of the "ricer" 4 cylinders!

I prefer my car to sound quiet on the outside and amazing on the inside. It doesn't normally work that way though, and I am against artificial effects of any kind, that includes exhaust sounds through speakers, heavily edited photos with replaced backgrounds and slimming photoshop strokes, fake boobies, GMOs, sweetNlow, etc

One of the best accessories a woman can have. At least they are fabulous on my gf.

Didn't know anything about NPP when I bought it, saw it, bought it, then I discover it
run in sport all the time, and I ( love it) sounds a little like a Harley, but runs like a Gold Wing, smoothe.

Not sure how to answer this question. I like the sound, and will often wind out 1st or 2nd gear to get the NPP valves to open. HOWEVER, if that sound were only based on some artificial effect through my speakers, then I doubt I'd ever do it. Not because other people wouldn't be able to hear it, but because it wouldn't be satisfying to me.
I don't turn on my radio at home to listen to car sounds. I wouldn't turn on my radio in my car to do so either.
So I guess I got the NPP for me; but if NPP were nothing more than a radio option that had nothing to do with actual exhaust note, then I wouldn't have bought it. That being said, I like the fact that other people can hear it too :-D

I wish my NPP exhaust was louder, and made more of a rumbling noise when driving slow down the boulevard. Driving at 5 mph it sounds like a 4 cyl camry =/

One of the biggest reasons I sold my 2013 BMW m5 was because it sounded like a typical sedan. For a 97k sticker price and 560 hp it should sound like a complete beast. It had artificial engine sound that came from the speakers inside which when I discovered this I was so disappointed. Most after market mufflers for the M5 go for $7k. Intakes for $3k so achieving real sound doesn't come cheap and frankly not woth the money. In the end I basically walked away from the car with 6k miles to get in my convertible Vette and am not looking back at all.

I ordered it for me, loud corvette exhaust sounds gives me a chub and a grin.

Did it to please two people, myself and my wife. Had aftermarket on my C6 and the damn DRONE took ALL of the pleasure out of it. So bad it hurt sometimes.
Now I set the car on track and leave it there, good enough for me.
