Default Reading "All Corvettes are Red" book now

After attending the Museum Celebration this past weekend and hearing the talks from the Hall of Fame inductees, I dug out my book and started reading it. With all the information talked about this weekend, the book is a lot more interesting reading now. Talk by Russ McLean was very enlightening in relationship to the happenings within GM in the 90's and personnel. It's a wonder that Corvette survived those days. Thanks to the GM people who stood up for keeping the Corvette. It could have been like Olds, Pontiac, and Saturn; GONE.

It's a good read. It's interesting how many times over the history of this car how close it has come to being cancelled. I think that is all behind us now though.

I enjoyed reading the book very much. I found it very interesting regarding the inner working/politics of GM. Highly recommend.

I found it interesting that by going to Mobil 1, they were able to drop the oil cooler, keeping the weight off there by not having to go to bigger brakes.

Great book. John Henricy took me for a couple of laps on the NCM track in my last car...a red GS. He watered my eyes. The GS is an amazing car

It's a great book and one which shows the hard work and dedication of those GM employees to save the Corvette.

Fabulous book -- I've read it twice. That Corvette team accomplished so much with so little money. I had a C5 and still miss it.

Thanks for your post, I first read this book about 15 or so years ago and really enjoyed it since we had just bought our first of many C5's. I will dig it out this weekend and refresh my memory of it.

Fascinating book.

I just finished reading "
Corvette Stingray: The Seventh Generation of America's Sports Car Corvette Stingray: The Seventh Generation of America's Sports Car
" and it was also a great read. Not as dramatic as All Corvettes are Red, but still had the implications of the bankruptcy of GM and the impact on the Corvette program.

I also suggest reading Dave McLellans book "Corvette from the Inside, the 50 Year Development History".

Very good book. It has been a few years since I read it, so I may dig out my copy and give it a re-read.
