Default Widest tire fit for C7 Stingray

What is the widest tire/wheel fitment based on the correct wheel offset for the C7 Stingray?

I don't want to have the wheels/tires sticking out too far, however what is the widest tire that would work, especially in the rear?

Checking out various aftermarket wheel/tire packages and I'm curious what others have done. I especially appreciate any pics, especially from the front/rear that shows the tire fitment in relationship to the fenders.

Thanks!

A 305 but some still see it rub slightly. The wider "look" is not worth it to me , so my forgelines are exactly custom made to match z51 tires and wheels sizes.

Which model Foreglines did you go with?

Vx3c, but any of their wheels can be custom made in any color. Be sitting down when you price them, quality and perfect fit is not cheap.

But like you have said more than not you pay for what you get. Better to pay a little more & really get what you are truly looking for out of the car. Robert

I fully understand. I've been pricing both Forgeline and HRE wheels and they are pricey, but as mentioned perfect fit, lighter, forged, and with a custom variety of finishes.

Beautiful! Are these also HREs? No rubbing with these sizes? This is pretty much the look I'm going for. Slightly more aggressive than stock, but not like I'm trying to make the Stingray a Z06 wannabe.

BTW - I have a history of being a "wheel snob". OEM wheels, regardless of the model, have never done it for me and I think custom wheels are one of the best ways to personalize your car. Keep the OEM set for trade in time! If you take care of your custom wheels, you can usually sell them for 50% of your original cost.

Really like the wheels on your gray C5.

Are those Forgelines as well?

Default 11" rim x 305 tire with 83mm offset

The widest rear wheel is an 11" wide wheel with a 305 tire. Offset should be 83mm and you may have to have a negative camber of -1.2 to -2.0 degrees. My car is a non-Z51, lowered. No rubbing over the full articulation of the wheel. Call Ben at WeaponX.

Thanks. No those are polished CCW 505As. Very happy with them, unfortunately CCW sold to a larger company and I haven't seen too many styles from them with the correct C7 offset that's why I'm leaning more towards Forgeline or HRE.

It looks like the HRE wheels on the blue Stingray above posted by C7 Jake are 12.5" wide of 305 tire.

MSG C5....
You mentioned a C7 Stingray.....
You will be disappointed with 375's on a 12.5" wheel.

They will rub on the rear fender or on one of the inner brackets, depending on your offset. I could not get 325's on a 12" wheel to work.
325's may work on some C7's.
I ended up with 305's on an 11".
Flush = Rub
There may be different definitions of what "fits"....

What's your offset w/the 11/305s?

I remember reading on here somewhere that someone was running 325 w/no rubbing. Not sure of the offset or wheel size.

My wheels are Forgeline SC3C-SL's and my rear offset is 83mm.
My rear tires are Pirelli P Zero's 305 25 21.
Ben can confirm offset.
My experience is with one car. 2014 C7 Stingray. Ben @ WeaponX keeps a spreadsheet of all wheels he sells for C7's....offset, tire size, pictures, feedback, Z51 vs. Stingray, etc.

Is there any difference in fitting wheels for a base Stingray vs a Z51 option Stingray? I read some earlier posts from late 2013 and early 2014 when the C7 made its debut and there were issues with the larger rear tires clearing the rear brake ducts. In terms of wheel size, I would like to stick with the OEM Z51 sizes of 19 and 20 as I think 20 and 21 look a little too large, but would like a wider tire/stance.

Give Jerry or Ben a call with the vendors here. Forgeline felt the base Susp was not receptive to much wider than z51 size as the susp is a bit softer and bigger tires will rub vs stock z51 size.

Rennen M5s forged wheels 21 lbs. front
19 x 10 265/35/19
20 x 11 295/30/20

No rub at all, could go 305 rear but any wider will probably rub.
