I agree a machined face silver wheel kinda defeats the desired look! That would have been a deal breaker for me

They look way better than your stock wheels. The black wheels are just getting started. Who knows how long they will last. It seems a lot of high end cars are now arriving dealers with black wheels. The Z51 and Z06 packages are almost all being ordered with black wheels.

I don't mean to offend anyone, but I just hate black wheels. Looks like the wheel covers must have flown off on the highway...

It was the car I wanted and so, walking away wasn't an option to me. GM made a big mistake painting the coves of machine face wheels silver. They rectified it in 2015 by painting the coves black. It's water under the bridge and now I have some nice new OEM wheels that came with brand new tires and sensors with factory balancing. The deal I got more than makes up for the $1495 I paid for wheels that look stock unless you get down and look real close. If I had gotten the 5 spoke chrome in 2013 when I got my car, I would probably still have purchased the split spoke ones I just bought.

When I was a kid in the late 60s, we took the wheel covers off our cars to make them more like hot rods with just the black painted steel wheels. I thought my 62 Chevy looked pretty cool without hubcaps. The cops often pulled us over for not having hub caps. I like black wheels on some cars, such as an burnt orange F-Type Jag or a white Stingray. On my Lime Rock green car, I think black would not work so well. I did consider it. I might have been very happy with machine face wheels with black coves.

I love that beautiful "Lime Rock Green" - with all due respect, that color was one of the few redeeming qualities of the new C7.

Love your new wheels, as well. I can't stand this black wheel thing - it's 'butt" ugly !!

All in all, a beautiful car !!

Those chrome wheels look so much better on the car than the stock painted/machine faced wheels. Good choice making the switch.

The chrome wheels look great with the darker colored colors such as yours. Nice upgrade!

I've seen lots of fads come and go. Black is the new fad. It will get old before long. Youngsters doing the stock ordering have no ideal what the majority of buyers want. That's why lots of black out vets are sitting unsold on dealer lots and driving the overall prices down.
I'm not talking about black vets. Just the black wheel etc thing.

I just swapped out my painted rims fro chrome rims too. On a black car, it really makes the stingray symbol stand out.

Chrome (or at least polished) will always be "required" on my vehicles. Black will be long gone in a few years just like white rims came and went. But back to the OP, your car looks great with the chrome rims.

Chrome looks great and is a classic that will be around forever-unlike black wheels which are popular now but may not stand the test of time.

Car looks great! I, too have the boring looking 2014 machine faced wheels and have been searching for replacements since purchase. Are your wheels 2016 OEM base??
