Corvette makes worst reliable list.

Got to agree with the finding. Not going to ever get better with the C7. GM has been thrown under the bus by the press and owners such as myself who filled out the JD powers online survey.
They even sent me a nice crisp 1 bill.. Fanboys of course continue to wear the rose colored glasses.

2021 C6 of the Year Finalist - Modified
CR had a lot of good things to say about the C6 Z06.......and some of them had some real problems with the LS7......so the pendulum swings both ways......I do agree the more complicated these cars get the more stuff to go wrong......the longer into the generation the better they will get......so I will wait.......

The 'respected publication' lost most of its respect years ago. The testing and reporting methodology is fundamentally flawed. They rate cars as less reliable by comparing a base model stripped down Kia appliance against a fully optioned Corvette. The vette simply has FAR more systems, features and options etc.
the reliability ratings come from surveys sent to people like you and me (the owners/subscribers of CR).
In any case take their ratings with a grain of salt --
mrs raff's last 3 cars were "unreliable" VWs that have had zero problems.

I'm not defending CR but the reliability ratings are not done by CR staff---

the seats are too low...
tires too noisy..
Wow! it's a sports car, not a luxury car! and of course it's not a nice as the Porche ( but it outperforms it and it's 30-50% cheaper!)

My 2014 Z51 coupe 17,600 miles. Oil changes. That's all folks. It's the most reliable new vehicle I have ever owned. And the most fun.
This car rocks!!!

Why not?
I personally know of a C7 A8 that puked it's transmission with only 4 miles on it(salesman was driving it to the gas station to fill it up for my friend who was buying the car). My friend declined the car.
I also personally know of a second C7 A8 that puked it's transmission with less than 1200 miles on the car. Belonged to a friend's wife.
In both cases, GM told the dealer to ship the bad transmission back to them and GM shipped new transmissions for the cars.
Oh, and the friends I speak of above; they was the same person for both the above cars.

Yes, folks do care.
This sounds like very good advise.

some live in denial ...
Two facts ... Corvette has lots of problems
g. M. Does not care
i would like to know when g.m. Will respond to this well respected publication ..for being so critical of the corvette..
In fact c.r. Was critical of many g.m. Products ..
I would guess the stock will drop ..

I guess I don't get it. If so many of you hate your cars (assuming you actually do own one...there are a few who I suspect don't) or think they are "junk" as some of you have said, then why are you here? Why don't you just sell it or trade it for something you don't consider junk. If I hated my car as much as some of you seem to there is no way I would keep it.
OK, so now I guess I will be flamed mercilessly. But someone had to say it.

Reliable = Toyota Camry. Crazy *** fun make you feel like your 18 again being shot out of a cannon but with quirks = Corvette. I am going with Corvette and can deal with a funky infotainment screen every once in awhile. Lol. :-)

I'm not in denial. My car simply doesn't have any problems other than one minor little thing that was quickly fixed under warranty.

I am really sorry to report that after 8500 miles on my 2015 Z51 I have been having recurring problems with it. It mostly happens on straight stretches of road and it seems the A8 tranny will just keep shifting smoothly until the car gets to somewhere around 95 - 100 mph. I try to take my foot off the gas, but it won't listen and continues to press on the pedal because it can't believe that were going that fast. GM didn't build the noise of the C5 that I previously had into the C7. Has anyone found a solution to this? Can I sue GM if I get a ticket?
