Default Museum Delivery 10/19

Wow what a great experience. Took delivery on my 16 Z51 Laguna Blue convertible.
You have to take the museum delivery in order to really appreciate the value.
Stacy spent a lot of time going over every aspect of the car from proper oil changes and measurement, tire pressure, navigation, all the electronic goodies. How to properly close the hood on the C-7. Top operation
We ask a few friends who were able to watch the delivery on the web cams- Super.
We got an in depth tour of the plant (twice as thorough and interesting as the regular public tour) as well as the museum. We had four go.
Personalized beautiful dash emblem and plaque. They saved every bid of protective covering of the car outside and inside. The car was beautifully presented. Our son drove 10 hours up and back from Atlanta and said he would not hesitate to do it again. Free museum membership for one year(bumped us up another year), Free NCCC membership for one year, a years museum membership to give away.
That only covers a little over half of it Oh the track was opened and we got a couple of escorted laps. They can't always do that. This track is really something. What an asset for the museum and members. I also got my car a lot sooner than having it shipped
If you haven't done it don't knock it.
By the way the orange peel on the side of the car is minimal and it sparkles in the sun. I guess I got lucky there

Congrats! Museum delivery is a lot of fun. Honestly, I had way more fun driving my ride back to California afterwards.

Enjoy the car, it's awesome!

Default NCM Experience

I recently bought a 2015 Shark Grey 2lt, Z51 Corvette. I found out about the NCM experience through my own reading online and visits to the Corvette website. I contacted Matt Morley and he was very helpful and instrumental in getting this experience done. Mt wife and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at the same time. The whole experience was amazing. We were able to take 3 laps on the track and it was great. My friends and co workers in Charlotte NC were all watching us do our experience. When I got to be in the car for the drive out I felt like I was a 10 year old with my first bicycle. My wife said I never stopped smiling. It was such a great time. We BOTH loved the whole process. Any one with a Corvette needs to do this. You don't have to buy a new one to do it. You will not regret it!!
Thanks again Matt!!

Congrats on getting your car. If I ever order a new Vette again, I'll be taking Museum delivery.

Actually, A museum experience has little to do with the Car other than your self satisfaction in the x amount of money you spent for your self gratisfication.

Wow, there's a classy comment. (BTW, I suspect you meant gratification.)

That is really Neat and a great post - I paid a pretty penny ordering my C7R but opted out of the Museum - Now I think I should have gone for it - Enjoy your car - I sense your excitement - that is the best part!

I will be picking up my Shark Grey the end of November and cannot wait. We will be there 7 days before our 26th Anniversary (got a late start) I hope I can get a chance to just cruise the track.

Love to read the great comments about museum delivery. I convinced my family it was the way to go as we were both ordering cars at the same time and likely would not have a chance to experience together again. We took delivery in May and I still smile when I look at my wallpaper on my computer!

That's actually not true. We have many new owners and Canadian customers that do the Xperience so our guys can teach them more about the Corvette. We often have customers who were unaware of the R8C program when they ordered their new Corvette, and we bring them in to do the Xperience option so they get they new Delivery feel on their C7.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me personally. I would love to help you with any questions.

During the day of your delivery, your Delivery Host will be able to take you over to the track for a few touring laps. Unless the track is being rented by a private entity that day. Just let your delivery host know that morning when you meet him!

You are so wrong about that.....Like any museum it has a theme....and theme at the Corvette Museum is CORVETTE!!!. You are treated like the VIP you are when you get there by the museum personal...You also, depending on the availability, could take a few runs on their road course. I could go on and on about it but it seems it would fall on deaf ears. Along with the delivery you get a VIP tour of the factory which is different than the regular tour. It was a lot more than just watching cars being built...you get to interact with the workers you could ask questions and you watched cars being built UP CLOSE and PERSONAL.....the next Vette I get will be with the BUYERS TOUR, where you spend two days watching YOUR Vette being built and it is Photographed in the different stages of production and you get to sign various parts. It is ALOT more than self "gratisfication".....which apparently you are still doing.
