Mine got shut off at the end of the 3 month trial. One call to my dealer got it fixed. No problems since.
It's amazing how upset some get at relatively little things and threaten to get lawyers involved.
Contrary to what the OP posted there is no "federal lemon law" either. There's the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, which isn't the same thing, and no lemon law applies up to 50% of useful life of a car.

And I have every right to feel the way I do over the Sirius service, and these big companies (and I worked at a fortune 500 company for 15 years) only react to the sleeves wheels).
And after 3.5 hours online with sirius, they finally agreed they owed it to me. The dealer wouldn't do squat. They lost any future corvette sales from me.
The Magnuson-Moss Act is not a "lemon law", but it's premise is the same as the lemon law, which is to protect consumers from being taken advantage of by huge corporation that have deep pockets.

Got a link to that federal lemon law? I know about various state lemon laws but can't find anything about a federal counterpart.

I never had this issue when I had a CD player in my C6. Kinda wish they had kept the CD player in C7. Anyway, if you don't like the service mark it up to experience and move on. If you do like it negotiate a better rate, have them send you a invoice/bill and send them a check. I never give them a credit car number. Don't want automatic charges at the full rate and that is exactly what they will do. Good Luck.

Here is where it got interesting. They then turned on the recorders and wanted my verbal confirmation for the contract. They would send me the invoice as I requested, and in two years it would auto-renew and I would be billed again. I asked if at the same rate, they said no, it would be at a higher rate. I asked if I could decline the bill when it came and not pay if I didn't want to pay the higher amount. They said that I would need to call in advance to cancel or else it would auto-renew. I asked how far in advance, they said they don't know for sure. I asked what would happen if I didn't pay it, they said it would go into non-payment (in other words, collections). I asked to not have the auto-renew, they said no choice on that. So I would be committing to the two year sub which I am OK with, but also that I would need to remember to call in advance, with no idea how far in advance, or else face going into collections if I don't like the higher rate.

My 3 month "trial" will end on 10/27 so I will be interested to see if I start getting calls from Sirius telling me my subscription is about to end. I have a 2016 2LT so I understand I should get 12 months of "free" service. I also have 2 other cars with Sat radios that are inactive. I might reactivate them but only if Sirius honors its 12 month deal on my C7. If I experience an issue, I will not reactivate any of my other radios.

If this was on the sticker, the dealer should have stepped in as soon as you had an issue. That being said, request a $58 credit on an oil change. Once your SXM expires, they do send you better deals.

On the flip side, I wanted to see what it would cost to renew my the subscription on my '15. It was set to end on 10/18 of this year, but when I put in all the info on the site, it changed the expiration to 10/2016. Somehow there system gave me a free years of the trial package (radio, weather, traffic).
I am happy for you. I hope it is free and they do not have your credit card number and you find a charge on your next bill.
Good Luck.

And you won't...Ron at Mac Mulkin is very good at taken care of all the subscriptions for Onstar and Sirius! Tommy has Ron do it for all delivered Corvettes.. I watched him do it for first batch C7's arrived at their dealership when I picked up mine back in early Oct. of 13...this is the dealerships responsibility to handle, plain and simple.

If you never put the car on your SXM account then it will just shut off and you have to pay a 15.00 reactivation fee if you want to renew after it cuts off.

If it wasn't for traffic and weather (you pay extra) I probably would cancel Sirius. Their music isn't that good (seems they pick the worst songs ever recorded, they save the good songs to sell you extra custom music) and some channels are just rebroadcast FM stations. I think the 2014s came with a full year subscription.
oddly enough, have not gotten a call/letter about renewing again....which expires in about 2 days. (invoice and paid by check...they dont have a cc to charge )

I would suggest you call them otherwise you will probably get renewed at the very high rate and sent a bill. They should have told you this when you signed up for the $25 deal. They have never failed to tell me that if I don't call I will be renewed at the going rate. Good luck!

You, my friend, are clearly the exception. Not a knock on you, just anytime I have mentioned Sirius to my my car friends lately, no one has anything nice to say about them. These aren't just GM owners.

if you really wish you "could take your survey back", then just go to dealerrater.com and look for your dealer and submit a review on there with all pertinent info. Watch how fat they call you to get you to change your review and make it right. Dealerrater is very important to them as well. I'd also make sure you record all their conversations...

Imagine what would happen if GM severed ties with XM Sirius and no longer included it new vehicles. I predict countless people would go nuts wanting GM to bring it back. GM can't win!

I use the IPOD with my own recordings. Holds so much music, never repeats itself, you can record books, if you want a change. I listen to local news on FM channel. Nothing on Sirus that I need. I asked them a year ago for the NFL games, since you get that on premium, after about 20 calls, I never got the NFL Games, so I cancelled. They try to get me back, no way. Very expensive for a lot of channels I will never listen too.

Speaking of XM, I just got charged 192 dollars. Probably a promition ended and they charged me for like 3years of service lol.
Going to call them now and Cancel. I'm going back to old school radio and my phone. I'm done with them.
