Crossed flag seat emblem replaced? The new one pulls out easy too.
Dealer replaced my broken crossed flag seat emblem today with a new one. What a cheap non durable part that I think will break again if I am not careful how I get in and out of my C7. The emblem looks like its made out of the same stuff as a plastic ring that comes out of a gumball machine. Well it is fixed but how secure it is makes me watch how I will get in and out of my car every time. This emblem is just flat out cheap and a poor design also. Anyone else have a broken crossed flag seat emblem and what do you think of the way you got it fixed?

This was a problem on early 2014's, but they made a change to the seat back to have the emblem recessed slightly. Mine are recessed and I can't see how I could catch it getting in or out.

Mine were recessed also but I still caught it on my sweatshirt when I got in my car last week and SNAP half the emblem broke.

I was leaning my elbow on the side of the seat getting out and my elbow slipped and went right over the emblem, broke it out, and put a nice cut in my arm with blood all over the place. This is a very early 14. Dealer had to get an entire new leather seat cover as he said the emblem was not replaceable.

My new seat cross flag emblem will not stay on the seat tight and pulls out very easy
Had my broken cross flag seat emblem fixed yesterday at dealer when I got home was cleaning the seat and noticed that my new emblem was very loose and not secure to anything . It pulls out like the tabs on the back of the emblem just goes into foam and that's it. Called the dealer today and they will try to fix the emblem for the third time on Monday and get it to be recessed and tight like my passenger non broken emblem. MY QUESTION IS DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW THE TABS ON THE BACK OF THE EMBLEM LOCK INTO PLACE WITH THE SEAT SO I CAN TELL THE DEALER WHAT TO LOOK FOR IF THEY ARE HAVING A PROBLEM FINDING OUT HOW TO GET THE NEW EMBLEM TO BE RECESSED AND TIGHT LIKE IT WAS BEFORE IT BROKE?A simple little emblem broken originally by sitting in my seat and now has turned out to a third trip to the dealer. Thanks Dave

Dave, I've merged your two threads together because they're about the same thing. I've updated the title of the thread to reflect your new question and update.

There is another related thread on here somewhere, or maybe it was another forum. Nonetheless, I remember reading that there are two clips that fasten to the prongs from inside the seat. You have to take the seat covers off to access the clips, which can be a PIA. If the dealership just reinserted the prongs without the clips, then it will obviously not be held securely.
I agree, the emblems are a cheap way to accent the seats. Embroidery would have been a much better, and durable, option- albeit more costly.

Unless it has changed, the seat skin has to be removed to replace the emblem.

Replacing seat cross flag badge now = Seat cover removel....
Going to the dealer for the third time which was originally for a broken crossed flag seat emblem. First time was wrong emblem and the second time it was installed loose with nothing to grab onto. Going in Monday for the third time and was told by the service manager that the entire seat cover has to come off for them to replace the emblem so that it is recessed and snug like my non broken passenger side. Did not want the entire seat cover to come off as that can lead to something else getting broken or knicked up. Well have no choice so that little pain in the AZZ emblem has turned into quite a problem. By the way my car is a 2014 late vin # in the 25,000 + range and the emblems were the revised recessed snug fitting type .SO GUYS BE CAREFUL HOW YOU GET IN AND OUT OF YOUR C7 SO YOU DONT RUN INTO THE SAME PROBLEM AS ME!

My seat backs were replaced due to leather delaminating. The dealer did an excellent job, you would never know the seats were worked on. 2014 convertible, vin #22487.

Dave......AGAIN, I've merged your 3 threads together. If I've merged your first 2 threads together, don't you think I would have merged your new one into the other 2?
