Who has had a professional Auto Trim Upholstery install the Competition Seat conversion? I am looking to find out what you were charged and how much it cost for them to do it? The local places won't quote you without have the kit in front of them to review what it entails and how many hours it would take. Several of the top shops in Michigan I contacted did say their hourly rate is anywhere from $80-$100 hours but no one would like to pre-purchase a kit and then pay $800-$1000 which is why I am trying to get an ideal of what others have paid for installation and how many hours did the professional take to install. Thanks in advance for providing this helpful information that's needed so I can have an ballpark of what to expect!

I emailed and provided the entire DIY from your sight but they have said it provides a general idea but it's not like reviewing the kit. The concern is under quoting based on looking at pictures of a DIY. Do you have a picture that shows it component of the kit how it's sent out? I think that might be helpful! Several people here in Michigan want to get the kit but not without knowing install cost. Also, do you have contact with those that paid to get install and I think getting general pricing for installation from a number of people would be helpful to know what to expect.

I paid $300 plus had them change the seat cushion. Very good deal and they did a great job so gave the guy a $50 tip. This is a smallish shop in Central Mass. They (he) probably spent 6 hours on it but hard to tell as he didn't charge by the hour - just for the job.

Do you have any idea when 2017 parts will be available, and if tension blue seat conversions will be available?

Can seat heaters and cooling be enabled on cars that did not have them from the factory? Put another way, is the wiring intact to support adding the seat heaters/coolers and switches?

Which 2017 parts are you after?

Yes, Tension Blue will definitely be available as soon as we get them in stock. There's been some issues with the part numbers, and we're working with GM to get a full set here since most people are going to want to swap their bottoms also if they're adding the blue.

I am just after the tension blue seat conversion, and a tension blue center console lid. The Tension blue is a competition seat only, correct? Any idea on pricing yet for the conversion? Thanks!

Regarding the Tension Blue seats, the back seat comes complete, correct? Nothing to put together?

Since the bottom of the tension blue competition seats is divided into 4 sections, and the standard seats are 3, how does that work?

This is the same conversion kit as before, it does not come as a complete seat.
The seat covers included are for GT seats. 3 panels.
