Nice weather is just around the corner if it's not already at your doorstep, and I know for most of you (like me) that means it's time for summer projects! What a better one to tackle on a nice sunny day than swapping out those base GT seats for some factory competition seats! Everything that is needed is already in the kit, just choose which material you want and voila!

Love that this is an option to do after the car leaves the factory... makes for so many more options when getting vehicles from dealer stock or the used market.

second set of questions:

with the conversion from std seats to the Competition seats... can the seat backs be done.. but not the seat bottoms? (I am assuming the conversion kit does both the backs & bottoms)

.

The parts being sold and the prices are just the backs. It would cost much more (foam + cover + heater) to do the bottom.

Edit: Never mind. I see you are not talking about competition seats.

Is there a kit for just the back conversions (without the bottom parts); price ?

I was vague, and cleaned up my question post a bit.

You are only buying the competition backs for the prices on website.

Thank you; needed to clarify that. I do not want to do the bottoms anyways.

I know you can select the heated seats does this retain the vented "ac" seats functionality as well if you do the conversion?

Default Guess the parts I found!

First, thank you Trunk Monkey for being easy to do business with! Ordered my Comp seat conversion kit and it's on its way

In preparation for the job, I took my seats out this morning. Have to say, it was not easy! Hardest part was removing the stinking wire holder - you know, the barbed push pin kind - looks like it's a one-time use 'cause I just about destroyed both of them.

Anyway, here's the deal: Once I undid the bolts and removed the seats, look what I found - the seats were screwed down ON TOP of these parts! The dime was under the drivers seat (helps with the next and last payment!) and the assorted bolts and clips were under the passenger seat bolt. Either my car is about to fall apart or someone else with a 2014 Z51 M7 is missing a bunch of parts

Anyone care to guess where they belong?

When I ordered my conversion (the kit is for the seat backs) I also had to order a driver side seat bottom as "someone" had poked a hole in it. Trunk Monkey was able to send me a new one so my guess is you can order seat bottoms as well.

You could do the GT upgraded covers,
or the Competition Seat back replacements
If I do this to my standard 1LT seats, will I get the adjustable side bolsters on either option (GT covers or Competition Seat Back replacement)? I assume I'll have to do the seat heater delete seeing my car isn't wired for that.

The kit doesn't include the seat bottoms, but let us know what you are wanting and we can get those for you. No extra shipping costs, we will put it all in the same box

Hi, it looks like you have your email setting turned off.
this conversion kit does not add any abilities to your current seat, simply replaces parts such as seat-back, seat belt harness bezels, foam, leather, airbag brackets, and side covers (not heaters for you obviously)

I'm curious if it's at all possible to just buy the full competition seats separate??
