Default Courtesy delivery in Houston

If offered a delivery to Classic Chevrolet of Houston ($500), you might want to request a different dealer.

Here's a tech working on my baby without a fender cover. If you look closer, you can see the "free, dealer added" scuff marks on the door speaker. There were numerous greasy fingerprints, scratches and scuffs, from bumper to bumper, and water marks all over the leather interior.

There are other things to complain about, like trying to steal my sill plates, etc., but w/e.

Wow, what a bummer. Did you show this to the Service Manager?

What happened with the sill plates?

Didn't get with them, bunch of baboons, but did let MacMulkin know and attached pics to the email.

Did get my my sill plates back yesterday, after some guff from the receptionist all the way to the guy that handed them over. Guy says, "I don't even know why you'd want these".

I ordered my '15 Stingray from MacMulkin last year and used Strickland Chevrolet in Pearland for courtesy delivery. I took delivery Oct 2014 and the experience with Strickland was great. It went extremely well and their fee (at least last year) was only $148.

Agreed!

If anyone is going to scuff up my car it will be me! (within 3-4 exits)

Wow - sorry for what you went through.

I bought my '16 from Classic and have nothing but good things to say about their sales and service people.

Maybe because you paid for them?

and so He didn't keep them for himself or sell them on flea bay...

This is why I drove to MacMulkin to pick up my car and drove back, but I'm only ~14 hours round trip from there.

I would not think there would be a survey for the dealer doing the courtesy delivery.

Classic Houston when it was still Allen Samuells Chevy did the courtesy delivery on my son's 08 coupe over 7 years ago and they left two long scratches across the hood. Had to bring it back and have them buff it out. $250 courtesy delivery fee. Car was ordered from Les Stanford.

Was this Classic Houston or Classic Sugarland, because Classic Sugarland is Awesome, they are one of the top Vette Dealers around. Classic only shares a name, all different owners...

Wow! I ordered from MacMulkin too and had it courtesy delivered to Strickland in Pearland for only $98. No issues whatsoever and I was in and out of the dealership within 15 minutes. I wonder if MacMulkin severed their ties with Strickland?

I live in Houston and had no idea there were two Classic Chevrolets. In fact, I went to Sugarland looking for my car, LOL!

How did they get the sill plates off? Aren't they held on with an adhesive?

I'm another who has only great things to say about Classic Sugarland.

Joe Machacek (spelling of last name may be wrong, but just ask for Corvette Joe). sold me my 2015 Z51 at supplier pricing which knocked off around $7,000, no arguing, no hassle, no playing games with salesman and management.

Per Joe (who sells a whole bunch of Corvettes) the go to guy in the shop is Mike Misner who has always treated me fairly.
