One wrong does not make a right, especially if the wrong involves taking out your frustration on your husband's treasured Corvette.

I 100% blame him. If he wants to be that stupid to have a wife then deal with the recourse!

And, if the wife was on title, or, they live in a community property state, like California, she can't be changed with vandalism..ie you can't be charged with vandalizing your own property. That just adds insult to injury.

In WA, where I live, it's a class B felony with a potential sentence of up to 5 years imprisonment, fines, restitution, and because it is related to DV, also requires classes, anger management, etc. It is considered a serious crime, equivalent to assault 2.
Further, the party seeking restitution will be the insurer, not the insured. After the wife goes through the criminal ringer, she'll likely face civil litigation unless acceptable restitution is granted by the criminal court.

"Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." As true today as it was when it was first spoken.

My wife threatened to damage my corvette once during one of her jealousy fits (after she wrecked the living room). I called the cops and they took her to a mental help place.
Thankfully it hasn't happened since. Threatening to call the cops always seems to settle her down now

This is inaccurate. Domestic violence related Destruction of property exceeding a certain value is a felony in CA and many other community property states.
