Thanks for that CrabbyJ and Listingray.
Install doesn't look too bad.
Nice discount from Cultrag now too...

This is a great upgrade for a base model Corvette C7

2014-2016 Corvette C7 Z51 Sway Bar Add On Upgrade Kit

It includes the Z51 Performance sway bars (front & rear), and insulators & end links to match.
This sway bar is also the same one that is used for the Corvettes equipped with Magnetic Selective Ride

also: make sure to take advantage of our Black Friday sale we have going on,
use the promo code "TURKEY"

Personally, I would not want the thicker/stiffer FE4 (MSRC) rear sway bar on a base car - it would introduce far more oversteer than most people (me included) would feel comfortable with.
The base car has slight understeer (front push), when you add the Z51 (FE3) sway bars, it goes to a slight oversteer (rear going around), which should increase overall grip (although there is no testing to confirm this) as the tires in the back are 40 mm wider.

What might be an interesting combination (although I am unaware of anyone trying it) is the Z06 FE6 (non-Z07) front bar and Z51 FE4 (MSRC) rear bar?

I love the difference on my 2015 ZF1. They did seem to show that the stock shocks are a little under damped. I plan to add stock Z51 shocks.

Are you still using the base front bar? That is the same set up I want to use.

Actually I feel that all things being equal that my car would be quicker on most road courses. Also M3 would not fare well. 911S not so sure but think my car would be able to keep up. Share you experience and thoughts before and after you added z51 sway bars to your base c7? Please share. Ger.

hi ... had Z51's on my C6 and, sadly, I didn't think of the change option til I saw your post. It was nice on the C6. So, THANK YOU for reminding me. Just FMI, cost idea and where you got them?

My only regret is I think I paid the dealer too much to install them. Other than that, well worth the price.

How much did you pay?
My local suspension shop charged $140 to install both front and rear

Do It! Took me under an hour to do front and rear bars. The corners are now flat and fun!

For those who installed these, what did you do about torqing the clamp and end link bolts? GM specifies these as torque to yield, with a torque value + rotation.

on 2014 C7 and yes the turns are much improved but the one difference I have noticed is off the line from a dead stop. When I gave it too much gas in the past the car felt like the rear was going to sway all over the road now I feel the rear end sway locking down the rear end and preventing the car from sideways motion and making it more planted.
When I had my C6 Base with F55, the Ride was great but did the same thing with the rear swaying under accelerating.
Installed Z51 bars and it handled a lot better without sacrificing the ride

I had the dealer install them for me, $175 and they did an alignment included in that price. i got them from Cultrag about a month after I got the car.
I notice a bit of oversteer now, as there was understeer before. The rear is more positive from hard starts, which is nice , also keeps the car in my lane. Corners are easier to drive as the bars do their thing with the weight transfer, keeping the car flatter. Ride is still compliant and at worse it rides a touch harder on rough roads, but nothing to worry about.
Before this car I had a Z51 '09, and a Mag Ride C5 ( '01 ) both of which I put 80,000 miles on. This car ( C7 ) handles better than either one of the former cars, rides better, scoots better and gets there quicker. I am sure that not all is attributed to the Z51 suspension kit but I am positive that it really does what it is designed to do. I firmly believe that anyone with a "base" Stingray add the kit. It's a great deal for the money.

Yo Guy, use new hardware and tighten them up, do the front first and you will feel how tight the nuts and bolts are. Not hard at all!
