Can it be removed without leaving a ton of residue if it looks bad?

Yes it can its 3M emblem tape that they use. A heat gun will lift it right off with a plastic lifter tool.

1. Thanks. Also, I hate glossy CF, does this come in matte finishes (that 2nd picture Jake posted looked like it was matte)?

2. How 'real' is the CF? The carbon fiber factory dash seems to be a thin layer of CF above the plastic below. Is this Remin kit just a thin layer of CF or is it plastic/vinyl or something else 'made' to look like it's CF?

3. How does it feel to the touch if you press it (like rubbery or stiff like plastic or soft)? Easier to scratch?

3. @C7Jake, didn't you order one in red CF? How was it?

Go to the CARID site it comes in about 25 different finishes and colors. Some are real carbon most have the gloss finish I think. Real C/F might have something like a $25-$30 up charge to the base kit price.

Yeah, I did. http://www.carid.com/images/remin-da...materials.html shows two CF black options (One 'real'). I'm guessing the real one is glossy.

In your opinion, how does it feel to the touch if you press it (like rubbery or stiff like plastic or soft) compared to the dash itself underneath? Does it feel like vinyl? Easier to scratch?

Actually, the CF dash and comp seat inserts are the same matte finish. I have them on my 2016.

I contacted jersey today and they're definitely out of my range. Worth the money because of quality, but out of my range. But now I'm going crazy deciding on matte or glossy OEM...

I also don't get why GM would throw an instrument cluster in CF and not have options for other parts. Kinda looks unfinished...

Also, with the top off, the reflections from the sun could get nasty.

I think you guys convinced me. I'm going with OEM matte dash (around $500-$550) Then all other accessories will be from apsis. Center console, door trims, etc. Can't wait!!

Harlan Charles actually came to look at my car at the NCM Bash. I told him the EXACT same thing! He liked what he saw in my interior.

I saw your interior elsewhere, and anyone would like what they see. It's a beaut. I'll get there slowly, and the dash is the first piece

+1 to this, I wish more parts came that way. I'm not a fan of CF at all, so I also wish they (Chevy as a factory option) had other color themes available for the interior (I'm all for yellow with a yellow car) for parts like the door button surrounds and steering bezel or small parts of the dash in matte or gloss.

^^^^ To the contrary, my wife wants to have nothing to do with car purchases! She said, "You're smart with your money-don't get yourself in a jam over the car."

Now, I'll ask her about what she thinks looks good from time to time. But everything on the car is my design.

It is glossy and looks better than flat in my opinion.
