Default Plastic tabs that hold the rear cargo shade-broken

Well, who ever engineered the stupid little tabs in the rear cargo that are supposed to hold the cargo shade failed miserably. Both have broken off. So, time for some home grown remedy: drill a small pilot hole, and install a small black screw and we are back in business:

that looks horrible. They are easily replaceable and cheap. Part numbers are on the forum somewhere. Order a few if need be...

Order them if you want but mine were replaced under warranty. I had them replaced when my car went in for the creaky roof TSB fix. I saved the old ones, used gorilla glue to put them back together and then spray painted them black. Now I have two spares.

The part number is: 25913048. Be advised they cost about $8 each after tax at the dealers part dept.

Sorry, still too much. I have already had one replaced. Glad I bought the extended warranty. Can't believe a small bungee cord can break a plastic hook. The hook should be made stronger for that price. Design was poor. But the rest of the C7 is great.

This ! With luck, by the time my basic warranty expires, one of our vendors will have a metal snap in replacement on the market.

Time to find a new dealer that doesn't charge MSRP Plus.

Don't need to. I just walked around the corner from the parts department to my Service Advisor who ordered them under warranty, cost to me $0.00 and I kept/fixed the broken ones.

Mine snapped from pressure applied as it covered some oversize suitcases. I now take the top portion of the cover off when I use that set. Problem solved. And ya they replace them under warranty anyways
